FSPAX freeszes midway through flight. - Timsierramist - 01-05-2016

First, FSPassengers is my favorite FSX addon of all time. I would have a very, very hard time living without it in my simulation. That said, I have been often left with no other choice as it freezes on its own.

It is specifically FSPassengers, not FSX itself.

Usually about halfway into my flight, the blue FSPAX mini bar will freeze. I'll be serving the PAX food and the % fed will stop at a certain point. Or i'll hit turbulence and the PAX will stop giving adrenaline feedback, etc.

What I've tried to do is click on the blue FSPAX monitor and load up the settings menu for it. But when I return, it will simply say "Sorry, no JUMP Allowed during a flight with FSPAX" and close on it's own.

To date, I have taken about a dozen flights, usually online via VATSIM, and have not been able to complete any of them with FSPassengers running. :-/

I assume there is at least a temporary fix to the "no jump allowed" in the settings menu so I could at least restore FSPAX when needed, but the freezing is certainly something I hope gets addressed, either through a fix here or down the line in the near future.
Thanks you in advanced.

Forgot to add PC Stats:
Intel i7 4790k OC'd to 4.5 Ghz, AMD Radeon 7990x2 in Crossfire, GA-Z97X-SLI LGA 1150 ATX Intel Motherboard, Samsung 240GB SD Drive, Corsair H60 CPU Cooler, 12GB DDR3 RAM, 1000 Watt PSU, Windows 10 Pro.

Windows 10 has been known to cause problems with fsp even if it is supported. It works on some machines perfectly fine but on others there are problems.

The same can be said for very few users of Win 7 but Win 10 does have more issues with addons.
Tim, have you tried running FsP without the mini panel? It may not be your preference to run FsP without it, but let us know if you have tried without it.
And, if it helps when accessing the FsP menu, go into windowed mode, feed the cattle on board or select a movie, then go back to full screen mode.

Haven't tried without the panel yet. I'll give it a shot though.

Ok. I did turn off the mini-panel and everything was working fine until I got to the runway for take-off. I noticed immediately the 1st Officer did not call out the V-speeds and from there no further announcements from the cabin crew. Even when we hit that moderate/heavy turbulence out of Aspen, no slight "gasp" from the passengers.

Very unfortunate. As I stated, FSPassengers is definitely my all time favorite FSX addon. I absolutely loved it in FS9, but we are still having issues with it in FSX. I will wait patiently for updates or a fix so I can use it again, but until that happens, I'll be forced to use another less than desirable option like FS Cabin Crew Nothing beats FSPassengers! Please update/fix/find a solution soon! :-)

The latest build of FsPX is suppose to clear up many of the previous issues, but not every system out there acts the same unfortunately.
I don't know if the DPI setting you have may be part of the issue but check that out. Dan has mentioned this is previous threads as well...especially for the Win 10 users.
I do wish Dan would make his presence again so that he can make more informed suggestions, as some of the same previous issues keep cropping up from time to time with no resolution.

I'm not exactly one to give up. So I kept trying a few things. I found out what actually causes it to freeze in the first place. Whenever I either minimize FSX or enter any settings menu, basically anything that closes or changes the main flight sim screen, FSPAX will freeze.

So for example if I'm running FSX with FSPAX, and I want to change a display setting and go into settings from the menu and do so, FSPAX will ALWAYS freeze, whether FSX is paused or not.

Provided I have no reason to to this, I have actually just completed a full PSPAX Flight!  Top

But...a future update/fix/patch to solve this issue would be great!
