Problem with the block time - Boki_bg - 28-03-2016 Hey guys, First of all, I must say that FSP is awesome thing. I am all new to this FSP stuff, so maybe I am doing something wrong, but i cant figure it out. Also i looked on the forum, but i didnt find anyone posting something similar (sorry if i missed it). So, I am using P3D V3.2, and i noticed i have problem during my flight with the block time. For example I inputed block time of exactly 03:00h when i was starting the flight. So i took off, and after 1 hour or so in the flight i see i have different time in mini bar "planned arrival in". I noticed that on my Airbus clock it is exactly 1 hour since i started my push back (block time) but on my "planned arrival in" bar i have 02:16h left. So i have different values for 16 minutes. So i started my stopwatch on my phone and i realised that FSP is calculating something like 79 seconds as 1 minut. Sometimes it is right 60 seconds, sometimes is 75-79 seconds for 1 minute. So thats where the delay is. And longer the flight is, I have bigger difference in planned arrival time. Is it me, or is it something with FSP? Thank you very much for all the answers. RE: Problem with the block time - Joeflyer - 28-03-2016 Boki, You can view this rather old thread that explains in detail the subject you are asking about: http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5208&highlight=block+calculation Also, the software comes with quite detailed information as well ![]() RE: Problem with the block time - Boki_bg - 29-03-2016 Joeflyer, Thank you sir for taking your time to anwer me. I read this thread that you bookmarked for me. Maybe i didn't explain it in a good way. Since I work in aviation in real life I am aware of words like "block time" and the "trip time", and i understand what exactly block time means. But thats not my problem. So i would try to explain you in a better way. ![]() I looked at my mini bar during cruise and i saw that "planned arrival in" is in 01h48m. So i took my phone and opened stopwatch to see if FSP is calculating time as it is suposed to do. When "planned arrival in" showed 01h47m i started the stopwatch on the phone. So when stopwatch reaches 60s my "planned arrival in" should switch to 01h46m. I mean 1 minut is 1 minut no matter how you count it, right? That's the problem! It switched to 01h46m when the stopwatch on my phone reached 72 seconds (sometimes it switches at 72, sometimes is 68, its not always the same). So basicly, my FSP is calculating 1 minute as more than 70 seconds every 4 or 5 minutes, and thats where i am having the mismatch in times. So on my previous flight i set 03h00m block time, and it was 03h02m on my chrono in the airbus when i parked at destination, but FSP showed that i arrived 30 minutes earlier. So that "wrong calculation" of 1 minute sometimes during the flight made a mismatch of total 32 minutes. I hope that i wasnt confusing too much and that you will get the point of my problem. Thanks again for the answers ![]() RE: Problem with the block time - Joeflyer - 29-03-2016 To get into the nuts and bolts of the programming/coding is reserved for the developer ![]() As far as your real life aviation experience goes, I don't see many people on here who make this part known about themselves. It's always good to see fellow aviators/aviation professionals visit the forums. How long have you been in the business? I've been in the aviation profession for 23 years now. RE: Problem with the block time - Boki_bg - 29-03-2016 I figured it out that my FSUIPC is 2 versions bellow newest one, so i instaled newest version. If i grab some time i will test FSP on my return flight from LEVC this evenning, and i will write if there are some improvements (actually not sure if FSUIPC has anything to do with FSP, but certanly it has with new version of P3d, so i should give it a try). As far as for the real life, i dont see why someone should not tell that aviation is their love and monthly income at the same time. I come from "aviation family", and i am in the bussines for almost 5 years now, but i listen abput aviation for whole my life. ![]() ![]() RE: Problem with the block time - Joeflyer - 29-03-2016 FSUIPC is not required to run FsP ![]() |
