About the Failures in FSpax - mvgix - 15-03-2016

Hi All,

Since I really enjoy FsPassengers a question came to mind regarding the failures simulated within the program.

As I understand it now, the failures are triggered based on the fixed failure rate and aircraft (well maintained etc).
I am curious as of how this is handled within the program.

Because, technically speaking, IF I buy new aircraft every once in a while and maintain them well I never get a failure. (my company is set at 5% btw)
I would love to have more of this because if "the pilot" flies a lot he is more prone to having failures, but if you "cheat" the system, I think you never get one. and can fly around hundreds of hours without hassle (I would really love those medicals and expl. decomps etc)

I bought 4 new aircraft which I rotate in flying in P3D, now over 200hrs between them and never had a failure once, something which is not challenging from a pilots perspective. I've noticed that if you buy a rubbish aircraft you get something almost every flight, Much fun but a bit too much  Smile

Wouldn't it be an idea to make the system combine the pilots hours and make it a bit more interactive? I fly as Cabin crew for Easyjet everyday with over 350 flights a year, and however luckily nothing serious up till now, technical issues happen more often than you would think, these things are much more common than I experience now (medicals, tech defects etc).

Would love to see you how you guys feel about this.

Thanks Mark. As I remember well, that 5% in your Compamy settings is indipendent by your aircraft maintenance status. If your aircraft status is 98%, the total failure probability would be 5% + 2%, so 7%.
On the other hands I'd like see some random failures indipendently from maintenance. For instance bird strikes or thunder hits damages (could be possible this last one? )
