[outdated] FsPassengers update for Prepar3D 3.2 - DanSteph - 09-03-2016

EDIT: The new version that support Prepar3D 3.2 is now officially online, see download page

Hi all,

I'm working yet on the new FsPassengers version for Prepar3D 3.2
it should be ready in the incoming days, at worse one week.

How to be advised of the update ?
  • If you stick on Prepar3D 3.1 or 2.5 yet, you should be automatically advised of the update by FsPassengers when you start a FsPassengers flight only! (There is no background program that eat your resources everyday just to verify updates)
  • Else you can watch the version page: http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=update&product=p3d
  • Or subscribe to this thread, I'll announce here when it's ready.

As usual the upgrade will be free for FsPassengersP3D customers, you can upgrade without loosing your data*, you'll just need your unlock code to unlock after upgrade.
*But it's always better to make backup before any important installation to be 100% safe, see the F.A.Q here: How to backup / restore ALL of my FsPassengers data including sounds, payload models, etc?

Thanks for your patience Wink

Kind regards

Be careful! There appears to be an issue if you use REX. Installing an REX theme (or even a textures subset of a them) wipes low level clouds (yes, really!!).

Relax, there are more addons that need an update :

FTX ORB (objectflow issue, if u click yes, p3d will crash to dektop. If click no, p3d will run but it wont show any flowing object)
Active Sky Next (cant connect with .dll, no real weather at all)
GSX (fail to open in game)
...
Hope all of this will work soon.

RE: [Announce] FsPassengers update for Prepar3D 3.2 - Joeflyer - 09-03-2016

No doubt. I already have 3.1 and have waited for more of the addons to catch up. I have very few addons in 3.1 just for this reason. I've got another empty hard drive that I will put 3.2 on and get it situated for future addons....likely in time for LM to completely overhaul it to the 64 bit platform lol

RE: [Announce] FsPassengers update for Prepar3D 3.2 - Motormike - 10-03-2016

GSX is updatet since the first day, you just had to install any new installer of them
ASN is out since yesterday evening
FTX is in Beta (Objectflow)
GTN 750 is done
FSP is in work

All way faster than expected

nice! i bet dan release it in few days!

p.s.: am i the only lucky guy who dont get the objectflow error for FTX stuff?

RE: [Announce] FsPassengers update for Prepar3D 3.2 - DanSteph - 11-03-2016

FsPassengers is a bit complicated to update, a lot of functions get/set directly the memory so the memory offsets have to be found again at each patch. Fortunately I wrote some tools to help me detect them and make the check. I'm 99% done but I prefer to control everything carefully. The new version will probably be out this week-end.

Now I wasn't able as many to install the first Prepar3D update 3.2.2.16659, LM released quickly a second patch 3.2.3.16769
FsPassengers will work only on what is now the official 3.2 update.

If too much peoples have the 3.2.2.16659 (which was only available a few days) I may consider patching for this version
but I'll need the help of peoples that have this version as I can't run it.

RE: [Announce] FsPassengers update for Prepar3D 3.2 - Joeflyer - 11-03-2016

Interesting, Dan. I downloaded the 3.23.16769 version that is in my account with LM but never saw the -16659 version. They must have quickly incorporated the latest patch in the full installer. I suspect many people will be using the latest version after all. I haven't had time to install it yet, however.

Dan, it looks like the 16769 update is only for subscription licenses of P3D, as stated here:

Wow, much thanks for the information, tool bad FsPassengersP3D is now ready on 3.2.3 but not on the 3.2.2 that doesn't work for me...

One question, when you go to download you all see the same version then me ?
The 3.2.3 is now the official download for everyone ?

RE: [Announce] FsPassengers update for Prepar3D 3.2 - gfl1973 - 11-03-2016

Be sure than your p3d client and content are the same version. There are a lot of changes in the "Autogen" folder in this update.

This is the correct procedure to avoid errors and full compatibility with other addons :

1. Make a backup of "Autogen" and "Effects" folder
2. Download "Install_Client.msi", "Install_Content.msi" and "cont1.cab".
3. Uninstall client only
4. Install new client
5, Uninstall content
6. Install new content
7. Overwrite the new autogen and effects folders with your backup ones.
8. Install the new SODE version 1.31 for this update

If u did it well you will get only 2 errors inside game :

FSPassengers and FTX ORB error until next update.

Yes Dan it is the last Prepar3D_v3_Academic_3.2.3.16769.zip

Yes Dan,

The `old` version cannot be downloaded anymore.
Only valid version is 3.2.3.16769.
