Yay!! Made it - Stentor - 20-01-2006 42 Flights, 71 hours C6 and I am at last!! Flying the F1 ATR!! Yes, FSP has become such a feature of my FS that I had to wait till I could fly it within FSP before I got back to it! Had a blast with the B1900D though, I made a customized panel for nav and FSP (basically relocated a lot of the switches and added a VOR2 and Radar Alt) so I will miss the old bus, did 35 hours in it to get qualified enought to buy the ATR, problem was though they were all old (2600 Hrs plus)and listed as terrible choices, there must be some newer planes out there? (ATR's that is) Re: Yay!! Made it - SaVas - 20-01-2006 Its always a smile maker when you make certain goals for yourself and attain them in FsP ![]() Re: Yay!! Made it - jboweruk - 21-01-2006 ![]() Re: Yay!! Made it - RonMac - 21-01-2006 Well Done! I am flying through atrocious weather out of Fiji in 737 to Hawaii in my RTW trip. Doing Fiji - HiLO (refuel) and onto SFO. My passenegers have seen 4 movies, eaten till they burst, drank like fishes, but still hold me at 90%. Set myself a 12 hour leg, so now approaching HiLo to refuel, just do not press parking brakes! Taxi up to Fuel tanks. hold on footbrake, Shift P backwards, turn, head for runway and GO! (Stuff ATC!) Great Fun! R Re: Yay!! Made it - DBE - 21-01-2006 Quote:RonMac wrote: RTW?? You wouldn't just be interested in the FsP World Tour would you? Coming up soon, BTW ! ![]() Re: Yay!! Made it - burkino_026 - 21-01-2006 Why do you guys make refuel stop into same FsP flight? wouldnt it be better to make two flights? 1- No fuss in setting parking brakes and doing a break 2- Announcements available on second leg also 3- Fuel log accurate and not going crazy as FsP didnt recon the refuel 4- Extra points for destination 5- Double point as you are making two flights Isnt it better? Re: Yay!! Made it - Dutch64 - 21-01-2006 The RTW is really getting nice with all the addon sceneries, all those places never been before, props and jets, and a very niice and friendly atmosphere ![]() Re: Yay!! No, I may be an idiot, but this is just to get a 12 hr flight in my logbook! It is also another pressure point on the experience, more anxiety, nerves, and potential waste of time if you fail to complete refuel. Yep, I am an idiot!¬ Re: Yay!! I am of course, just time as of late has been getting wasted on work and family, instead of simming. I mean it can be 2 days or even a week, between me getting to sim. Such a waste of time. Re: Yay!! Made it - burkino_026 - 21-01-2006 I dont understand it but if you like it so well then it's worth it Re: Yay!! Made it - DBE - 23-01-2006 Quote:RonMac wrote: Don't worry: I've missed 8 legs so far.. Plan on catching them up...some time. And, added to that, there is a definite date not to miss: the FSP Community Flight on January 28!!!! More info coming up on http://www.fspworldtour.com ![]() Re: Yay!! Made it - poden - 23-01-2006 All right, congratulations! Yep, I think FSP helps really bring out the best in simming, as far as learning and trying new things. ![]() |
