Long X-country - timtomairways - 09-12-2010 yep CRG-VLD-AYS-CRG solo the wohle way. took of from CRG, and i must have planned good, caues i was right on the money with the times. littel troubel mantaning altitude at first, but eventualy i got it trimed out and flying streight and leval. landing in VLD was pretty normal, cloudy and slightly dark, so i turned the NAV lights on. i sat in VLD for about 30min, before departing to AYS. had to go around some restricted airspace, and throue a MOA. and eventually over my uncels house. did one touch and go in AYS. then preceded south to CRG, with took me over my home town, and throue the KJAX class C airspace. landing back in CRG was pretty routine. picture (not meany thoue) are comming soon Re: Long X-country - Joeflyer - 09-12-2010 You didn't have to make a full stop at each location to get someone to sign off on your logbook? Or, was this just a practice run for your official long Xcountry? Re: Long X-country - timtomairways - 09-12-2010 No i did not have to get someone to sign off. i did do a full stop at VLD and sit at the FBO for a few min. but only one touchand go at AYS. and now the photos Lake City as a waypoint on the first leg, heres the airport somewhere beetween Lake city and VLD this fire was burning. come to think of it there where fires burning left and right where i went a lake or pond, or very large puttle on course not just a randome pond and feild, this happense to be where my uncel lives. found memories fishing out of the pond Re: Long X-country - elfamoso2020 - 10-12-2010 Thats some pretty tough picture Bro, I love em, Keep em coming man, Ima bring some pics also soon ! Re: Long X-country - Joeflyer - 12-12-2010 Great pics there, Tim Re: Long X-country - DavidK - 12-12-2010 As, I believe, Lord Vader would say: "Impressive." The configuration of the runways at the Lake City airport makes an interesting picture. If five planes landed simultaneously at the far ends of the runways (from your photo's point-of-view), at the same speeds and forgetting to brake, an "interesting" outcome would be on the cards.
