SOP question - jmelvin64 - 07-05-2010 Would a pilot talking about standard operating procedures say to another pilot 1) S. O. P. s (by letter) 2) sops (sahps) or? Thanks Re: SOP question - gbapache - 07-05-2010 SOP (letters) Post Edited ( 05-07-10 14:13 ) Re: SOP question - Tracker801 - 09-05-2010 On regular operations, SOPs are discussed during pri-fly, so before pilots even get towards the aircraft. It is a custom on regular hub departures to just state ' standard S.O.P. for runway ## ' by the Captain. It is not enforced though, ut when you fly the same routing several times in a row it does tend tempting and is used. When anything changes, might just be a single degree off of standard windangles, the SOPs no longer are used and a full briefing is given. Thats just the short version ofcourse :D |
