Flying Boats - poden - 18-01-2006

I was wondering who is using Flying Boats in FSP. I've had a Lake Renegade in my small fleet of mostly small planes, and will probably add a Grumman Goose pretty soon, which I've downloaded and repainted. I've also downloaded a Grumman Albatross, along with the Jimmy Buffet "Hemisphere Dancer" repaint. I'll probably pull the Albatross into FSP at some point too. For those using Flying Boats in FSP, please post what you're using, and where you downloaded/bought it. Thanks!

Re: Flying Boats - SaVas - 18-01-2006

Ive used Lynn and Bill Lyons Grumman Goose, and Sikorsky (Golden Hawaii), as well as Just Flights Albatross (I think it was), Aerosofts
Beaver Amphibian and Float, and a few others Im forgetting.

The Lyons' aircraft are now freeware and avail at AvSim and Simviation. The other two are payware

Re: Flying Boats - Leftcoaster - 19-01-2006

I use Mike Stone's Boeing 314 Clipper (with updated FDE and Ken Mitchell's panel and from http://www.calclassic.com and Jens Kristensen's
Short S.17, S.23, S.30, Sandringham and Solent flying boats as well as George Diemer's Sikorsky VS-44. Since these are all true flying
boats (and not amphibians like the Goose) the air files have to be amended and parking brakes added so that they work with FsP.
These are all freeware with the Short's downloaded from http://imperialairwaysva.100webcustomers.com/home.htm and I think that the
Sikorsky came from avsim where you will probably find Jens Kristensen's models as well.
Cheers
