rex for fs9/fs2004 - gazpode_l - 11-11-2011

Hey guys.
I've somehow discovered an addon called rex, which adds alot of detail to the two most recent flight sim programmes.

I was wondering, what this does for frame-rates? does it improve them, or like most things, the more detail you add, the more power you
need from your pc?

The very high resolution clouds may have an impact...especially if you use Active Sky Evolution and have many cloud layers selected. I used both in
FS9 and did find some major frame rate hits during heavy cloud draws. Of course I had a XP system with only 2G of ram and a pretty decent CPU and GPU.
You can use REX's lower res. clouds and not experience much in the way of frame rate reduction during heavy cloud draws. If you don't have a decent
system, the higher res. clouds can have a significant impact.

In FSX I use the 2048 resolution clouds because I frankly do not see a big difference between the 2048 and 4096 clouds.
