What is "professional"? - gbapache - 03-07-2010 It's true, I'm going to pay for an airliner. In my shopping I have noticed that some planes have a professional version. What's the difference? Re: What is "professional"? - timtomairways - 03-07-2010 Im not shure but i would think that it means the aircraft lacks eye candy features, in favor of more realistic systems and avionics Re: What is - Recon - 04-07-2010 Quote:gbapache wrote: Wait.......do i read this correct apache? (i need something to drink..... .) In that case,.....it is not completly right what timtom says. The eyecandy is good and further more the realisme is much beter. More if not allmost all the functions are available compared to others. No GPS and the Otto is quirky. It's like flying a Huey again. Re: What is "professional"? - timtomairways - 04-07-2010 Im still wating on PMDG to roll out the 737 NGX. Its going on 5 years, come december if its not out, then I will go buy something else. Re: What is "professional"? - Shaun Patterson - 04-08-2010 Professional flight sim aircraft tend to be payware aircraft which usually have exeptionally realistic models and avionics, although some packages do not allow you to take it 'step-by-step', and just begin with advanced piloting right away. I currently have 3 payware professional addons, being; Dash 8 Prof., CLS airbus fleet (A300, A310, Beluga), and 757 Captian, which is probably the best one you can get for fs2004; you have to be careful on FSX because fully animated cockpits and models slow your framerates. Another payware is PMDG, which have great cockpits, but the exterior models can sulk a bit. If your looking for freeware, then its always Project Opensky (POSKY); they make most of the boeing jets, crjs, embraers and the a330/a340, but if your looking for the a320 family, well tough. The closest thing to 'prof' for airbus is project airbus, whom have a crappy website. |
