My First HD Video :o) - Joeflyer - 12-04-2010

Hastily put together, I could have done a better job, but what the heck. Be warned, there's absolutely
no music...only airplane sounds Wink

Real nice picture quality Joe! How did you get those awesome camera angles?

Re: My First HD Video :o) - 0Artur0 - 13-04-2010

Looks like you figured out the HD stuff... nice job!

Re: My First HD Video :o) - Joeflyer - 13-04-2010

Thanks guys! Hey, I'm still trying to figure out the editing stuff.

@Steve...I use DBS Walk & Follow for the cam angles.

@Artur...I still want to send all of my raw clips to you so that you can do your masterful editing techniques Wink I still don't know how to speed
up particular frames within Sony Vegas and am slowly figuring out the key frame junk lol

Re: My First HD Video :o) - airmiles - 14-04-2010

Great video Joe, just need to get some drunken antics in there aswell.

Re: My First HD Video :o) - 0Artur0 - 14-04-2010

Hehe, you can send the footage to me, but my price is going up every day, so better hurry up Wink

There should be some tutorials about speeding up video in Vegas.

Re: My First HD Video :o) - Joeflyer - 14-04-2010

@ Pedro...sure thought about it, but I'm not too creative in that respect lol

@ Artur....now that's not the way to treat a potential customer by running him off right away Wink

Re: My First HD Video :o) - Eastbeast - 14-04-2010

You should make video from Kai-Tak or st Marteen. Good job Joe Wink

Re: My First HD Video :o) - 0Artur0 - 15-04-2010

@Joe.. Well, I'm a terrible salesman. Send your footage to me and I'll do it for free! ... wait a minute... Well

About speeding up video in Sony Vegas from Yahoo Answers:

In Vegas Video (NOT Vegas Movie Studio) there are 2 ways to speed up the video.
One is to move the mouse cursor at the end of the video track over the edge and then keep the control key pressed and drag the video over to the left.
The other way to do it is to activate the video velocity envelope (I believe is right click on the video and enabling the velocity envelope) then you
can move the line up or down to speed up or slow down. You can also add a point and selectively speed up certain areas of the video.
In Vegas Video help, search for velocity and it will give you a much better explanation.

But you probably already found that.

Re: My First HD Video :o) - Joeflyer - 15-04-2010

@East...thanks, man...I'll see what I can conjure up at those locations next time Smile

@Artur...thanks, that gives me some idea. I haven't messed with any other clips since I completed the HD vid, but will look into Sony's
help files about velocity. Thanks again!

Re: My First HD Video :o) - Airbus_A380 - 16-04-2010

Great video Joe,

Great quality as well, so good that it FS2004 looks more like FSX in the video, well to my opinion.

And I agree with Eastbeast, a TNCM video would look amazing Smile

Re: My First HD Video :o) - Joeflyer - 16-04-2010

I do appreciate the good feedback all Smile

@Artur...no joy on the velocity envelope in my version of Sony Vegas 8.0 Platinum. This feature was taken out in this version, but I have to
do more key strokes to do video acceleration now....plus do a freaking "split" in order to speed up/slow down a certain portion of the
frame and then go back to normal speed in another frame. It's not too user friendly in this respect. However, if I wanted to spend another
$55 or so for an upgrade to Vegas Platinum 9.0, the video acceleration is more user friendly. I'll just do it the harder way in the version I
have now Hunappy

Re: My First HD Video :o) - airmiles - 16-04-2010
