.CFG fuel flow mod - AKLupine - 30-12-2007 Hello all! ![]() I’m looking for the line to edit in the .cfg file to adjust fuel flow in cruise. Basically, while sitting out here in the tower I get to enjoy 737-200s a few times a week as well as the -400, -700 and -900 in the summer. Sadly however, my fuel flows in FS just aren’t quite right in that my modeled -200 has a calm wind range of 3500nm. A real -200 should be at ~2300nm. My -300 can sip its way 2300nm yet the real one should be able to stretch out to ~3400nm. I know that there are many variables that affect performance, yet I would like to get my fleet into the correct ball park. So if anyone knows what line to edit, (I THINK it’s the fuel_flow_gain line,) and by roughly how much either way the information would be well received. In other news; planes spotted out here daily consist mostly of Cessna Caravans and Piper Cherokees with the occasional Cub or 180/5 thrown in. Three times daily we get either a Saab 340 or a Metroliner from Anchorage. Every few days we get a DC-6 or a Curtis C-46 bringing food and mail, (we like to see the chow plane!) The folks with the 732 also operate a DC-6 so it’s a crap shoot as to which we’ll see, but they fly out here three times a week. In the summer, we get a lot of 185s and 206s on floats, Beavers, Otters, a Tw’Otter and there was a turbo Beaver operating out of here for a couple weeks. There were a lot of biz jets too, from a Citation Jet through a G-V. There was a scattering of other little guys from time to time I’m sure I’m forgetting, but the point is that if you ever want to see a merry mating of new and old metal, come on out to King Salmon in the summer. There is more in the sky than just mosquitoes! Oh, and watch for bear! ![]() Re: .CFG fuel flow mod - Dutch64 - 31-12-2007 I usually use the fuel_flow_scalar line for that, but only small adjustments. But since it's for AI traffic (I think) it should be no problem to experiment with it ![]() Re: .CFG fuel flow mod - gomelby - 31-12-2007 Didnt want to open another thread, but I have similar question, which line do I edit to make my aircraft to seat more people? Re: .CFG fuel flow mod - AKLupine - 02-01-2008 Thanks Dutch, that is what I was thinking, just wasn't sure. I'm using them on my fleet not for AI, just trying to get thing to be "As Real As It Gets." Gomelby, you need to look into either getting a new payload model or making changes to one you already have. Re: .CFG fuel flow mod - gomelby - 02-01-2008 Quote:AKLupine wrote: Thanks I'll try that. |
