[SOLVED] FS9 won't uninstall! - FsP Dennis - 13-05-2007
Well my new version of FS9 would arrive at Thuesday and I need to uninstall FS9 to install the new one..... But ...... When I hit uninstall
from either "add or remove" or Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Games -> Uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 it won't uninstall... Not
even a menu opens..
Do somebody know what to do now ?

install new one over the top, and then uninstall?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
But FS keep crashing with the version I got now so I had to reinstall but some files were needed on the CD so I had to order a new
version. I tryed to uninstall my "old" version of FS9 today so I could install the new one when it arrives - but it won't.
Drew you wan't me install the new version I'll get over the old and uninstall after ?

yes thats what i mean
You may not even have to uninstall it again if it works, however if you need to uninstall, installing first should fix the uninstall files - if that
makes sense.
EDIT: you cant install over, i just put disc in and you only get 'run' and 'uninstall' options

I just did this (and it worked fine because I had your problem)
I actually didnt even have the uninstall.exe so I couldnt do anything! And I tried to uninstall it via the control panel (add/remove programs)
but it didnt work. So I deleted the entire FS9 folder. Used crap cleaner to remove the entry from the control panel, cleaned the registry. re-
installed FS9 and it worked

Put in disk 1, that should give you the option to unistall, I had the same problem before, this worked for me.

2months or so since I flew last time
First the computer then FS9.. What would be the next
?Can't wait to I can fly again! I'm quite desperately hehe.
