Problems with German Airports and FSPax - Gouveia - 28-11-2005
Hello all
I have read the forum (also the FAQ) and saw that there were already problems reported with the GAP 4 and the FSPax.
Myself have just bought the GAP1 and 4 and can confirm this problem.
I flew from EDDF (Frankfurt) to EDDC (Dresden) and set EDDC as a destination on the payload page. Flying time 1:10 with the ATR72.
Everything runs perfect.:
Passengers board in 20 min. with nice music
We take off with all the lights on.
We fly at FL240 with no turbulance and the seatbelts sign off
Pax enjoys german beer + Eisbein and Sauerkraut
We land in DRESDEN 5 min . earlier as planned.
We park the plane and after leaving the flight we get the report that we landed on the wrong Airport !!!!!!!
On the flight debriefing we get the Info that we should lhave landed in LOWW although I never introduced LOWW and never been there on
my FS9 !!!!!
Can somebody confirm this behavior and are there solutions???

Such instances can only be changed by the developers of the scenery or if you have some knowledge of editing I belive the AFCAD file for
the airports (I think - I personally dont ahve any addon big airports only VFR GA airports)

I just flew from EDDP to EDDC the other night without any problems. This is just a 20 mins hop, takeoff, ILS capture, landing. Still fun
though.
And yes I do use the latest version of German Airports 1, 3 and 4 as well. In fact in my litlle Bonanza A36 I probably flew to most of the little
airfields that came with the compilations. No problems so far (knock 3x on wood).

Eddy, you won't get any problem with your Bonanza, since it is not a large airliner.
Since most GA and some bigger plane can take-off/land on about anything, including roads and wheat fields, FsP doesn't apply the
runway restriction.
On the other hand, don't even try to land a big airliner on a roads without damaging the aircraft.
So Gouveia has the problem because he is trying to land his airliner on a runway misdeclared in FsP. You don't, because FsP doesn't
care where you are landing with a small aircraft.
