Fleet Income - WBHoenig - 27-11-2005 I just have a possible suggestion for the next update (or even version) of FsP. I am a pilot for Southwest Virtual Airlines (go Brad!) and as you may know, Southwest only flies the 737-300,-500, and -700. I think that it'd be nice w/ any spare cash (I start out with a lot of money because I have to fly the 737; I like the -700) to buy more of the same aircraft and make a more realistic (more money) fleet income. I know I can but one -300, one -500, and one -700, but SWA has a lot more than one each. The only way I can do it now is make copies of each aircraft and slightly change the title slightly each time. Re: Fleet Income - qdrummer21 - 30-11-2005 Just add other -300's, -500's, -700's that are in other paint schemes. Since there just being used to calculate fleet bonus income you'll never see them in game. Just be sure the model that your flying is the SW one to be sure the graphics are right. Re: Fleet Income - jboweruk - 01-12-2005 You can always add more liveries to the .cfg file all pointing to the same texture folder...... Re: Fleet Income - JamesM - 01-12-2005 Thats essentially what I have done, i add a new entry to the config file, with a unique tail number and reference back to the same texture folder. Re: Fleet Income - eddy - 01-12-2005 Yes, of course this works. But on the other hand it shouldn´t be too difficult for Dan to come up with a more "elegant" version. One that allows for the same FS aircraft to be bought under different aliases in FSP for example. Whenever you buy a plane you are allowed to change its name or add an alias without the need of it to be in the aircraft.cfg file. Re: Fleet Income - Airliner - 02-12-2005 I do the same - add an entry into the config file and change the tail number. The way I use the UI values is different too. For example, I am flying an Eastern Airlines fleet, so my UI Manufacturer is set to Eastern Airlines; the UI Model is set to, say A319 and the UI Variation is set to the registration number, maybe N125EA or whatever. Also, the title needs to be changed - I put Eastern A319 N125EA, for example. It's not too much of a pain. "Whenever you buy a plane you are allowed to change its name or add an alias without the need of it to be in the aircraft.cfg file." Yeah, like the way AI traffic files use the same visual model with different reg. #'s. Incidentally, whenever I buy a new aircraft, I also make a traffic bgl for that specific plane. That way I can pull that plane off the AI traffic when I want to fly with it. You mean, you don't want to repaint your B737's in all the wild liveries WN has? Arizona One, Nevada One, Shamu, Lone Star, etc.? ![]() First airport I worked at was KMHT and I saw a number of different ones visit, mostly Shamu and Silver (B732). Dang, can WN turn planes around quick or what?! And they certainly have the best looking flight attendants in the air! ![]() Post Edited ( 12-02-05 06:23 ) Re: Fleet Income - WBHoenig - 03-12-2005 Also, the more variations I have, the worse my performance is, and my performance is already very low. |
