250kt speed restriction below 10000ft is killing my Concorde!! - Fritz Bayerlein - 23-11-2005

As some of you know, the Concorde is a momentum plane. You have to get it going fast, right off the bat, or you'll be struggling to
maintain a reasonable AoA.

I ask for permission to exceed 250knts from control and I only get it half the time. This is killing me!! What can I do?

The flight manual for my Concorde states I should be accelerating to 400kts above 4000ft.

To be honest, I would simply disable the speed restriction penalty in the more_option.cfg file. I'm aware that Concorde rapidly
accelerates, and I'm also aware that when it was in service there were certain designated airspace areas in which it was cleared above
any speed restrictions.

There's a unique problem with the Concorde. It's just too damn powerful!

Is there a good Tu-144 out there as good as the PSS Concorde? I'm curious how different the systems are.

I have a tu-144, but the panel isn't working right.
The one I have has a copyright text file with these names in it: Thomas Ruth (tom@impact-records.de)
Claudio Mussner (cm.panels@uol.com.br)

Anyone know of a good tu-144 with a panel readable and useable in 800x600 and 1024x768?

ARE you sure about that ?... After all, it's the TU-144 that take the skies FIRST heheheheh and to top it off, I've a good quote, which
says "The other can only follow" lol

Well it's not the whole truth I think.
The TU144 looks like a Concorde but the dimensions are far from the same , the TU144 is for example longer than the Concorde.
I dunno the real story behind the blueprints but it's one of the 60's coldwar spionage highlights Wink

Just want to make it straight that you "CANNOT" fly with a Concorde in FsP without skipping the checklist .

Like one time i was flying following the checklist that keep the flaps(in this case the nose) at 0 Degres until FL290 and dude destroyed
my flaps.

MUD is 100% right, It is a well know true story but still not official (cold war not ended ??).

The russian spy stole some blueprint of the Concorde but some of the Concorde engineers knew about that is advance before the stole
(thanks to English or French spy, don't know which one). So the engineers made voluntarily some very-tiny-almost insignificant mistake
on the blueprints. The result (was absolutely not expected and not wanted) was the dramatic crash of the TU-144... But everybody in
France will tell you it's not true... It's like the crash in mediteranean sea of the Air France Caravelle, the official result stated that it was
from mechanical problem but in reality it is from a test flight of a french missile called Exocet that was fired from a french navy boat and
that get away from all control... Everybody know that in France but will tell you it's not true... Maybe like the TWA800 flight??????
