Flight Yoke - xhado13 - 27-08-2006

Now ive been wanting a flight yoke for a while, and I want to know where exactly I can get one from over the internet, because ive seen
some websites, and im not sure if they are secure or not.
And you know what im talking about, these things are $150!! lol anyways, also if I do buy a yoke, would I need to buy the throttle
too? If thats the case, ill probably just get an even better joystick.

Id really appreciate it if someone could pass on a link.

Thanks in advance

Look at the CH yoke. Its very good and has a throttle built on it for about $100 USD.

I just bought the CH Yoke and what a difference it makes.

I built my own throttle quadrant using a game port, #24 AWG wire, K-nex parts, aluminium strips and wood - oh, and a USB-Gameport convertor from
Radio Shack (the most expensive part). Becasue I used the No. 24 wire, I had enough wires insdie to wire up four axis and four momentary buttons.

Because I have7 axis (ignoring the pedal axis) , I've set it up this way (designed for twin engine aircraft)

On the CH Yoke - Pitch, Flaps and Spoliers
On the throttle quadrant - left engione throttle, right engine throttle, prop and mix.

I'm planning to add ten more switches to the throttle qudrant using a second USB port and Desktop Aviator's 10 button to USB convertor. I hope to be
able to use monentary open buttons with a built in LED - so that press it once the LED lights up and press it again the LED goes off - this will be
useful for things like "Gear up/down" and lights on/off, etc, and will save the wiring, transistors, capacitors and resistors needed to use toggle
switches. And hopefully the 5 volt pin from the USB will be enough to light the LEDs.

Question: While FS9 allows spoliers to be allocated to an axis I have yet to get them to work properly - any suggestions?
