Can't save a FSP flight? - razzirazz - 14-11-2005 Hi Y'all, I downloaded the FSP Demo today and just to get a quick hands on feel for the program, I "winged it" by trying the demo flight from SanFran to LAX. Halfway through the flight, I saved it, but when I went to reload the situation later on, I found that FSP wasn't loaded along with the saved flight. Does this mean that one has to complete a flight in one session? Or did I miss something up front? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, __Jim Razzi Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - DanSteph - 14-11-2005 Hello Jim, first welcome here, Yes you have to complete the whole flight , you can't save in the middle. Hope this answer ? Dan Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - pagir - 14-11-2005 ...and to complete Dan's answer, here's the FAQ on this topic: http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=faq&question=26 Pagir Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - razzirazz - 14-11-2005 Thanks guys. Hmm, too bad because that limits flights to about 11/2 hours. I know you can speed up longer flights but then you get into problems with missing the ATC instructions. <shrug> I still like the program and I'm sure as things progress, a way will be found to restore the flight AND the FsP settings. I'm no programmer, but maybe something along the lines of loading the saved Active Camera views along with a specific aircraft in a saved situation. I bet he didn't made only 1h1/2 flight ![]() (in fact he made 174 flight only) Personnaly anyway I don't fly more than 1h30 as what I love the most is the approach ILS in bad weather with landing - everyone have his own style of flying. Dan Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - pagir - 14-11-2005 Just a little trick about the controler when using the accelerated time (well, it works anytime, in fact). When the controler invites you to contact a new tower, tune the frequency (first step) but do not contact the tower (second step) until about 150 miles of your arrival. Then, contact the tower. The ATC should continue to direct you without "dumping" you. Pagir Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - Drew - 14-11-2005 just to add, if you dont mind leaving your pc turned on, you can just pause the flight and resume it at a later time..... Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - Sovek - 14-11-2005 thats what I do quite a bit myself, If Im too tired to finish the flight safely, pause and then go to bed, finish it in the morning. Re: Can't save a FSP flight? - WBHoenig - 14-11-2005 I minimize it down and hibernate. However, my computer will crash it about 1/3 of the time.
