Help guys Kneeboard crashes fs9 - samiranks - 01-05-2006
okay i dont know what i can do to fix this issue. my fs9 crashes when i try to bring up my kneeboard. what file is the kneeboard in so i can
replace it meaning withing flightsimulator folder where can i find the kneeboard.? I actually have another copy of the default
flightsimulator folder on a different hard drive so i can always replace files that are corrupt. a little help guys.

Have you got FS 9.1? My friend has the same problem, solved after the patch.

yep i sure do have the update but only if i can figure out if the kneeboard is in the aircraft folder or some other folder so i can replace it. i
think that should do the trick

Mine does the same, It appears to occur with any web based part of the program

if you have the xp Service pack, you have to go to security and make sure you tell them fs9 is ok otherwise it will crash from it.

kneeboard still doesnt work. my firewall is saying execeptions and i have flight simulator checked so i dont know what it is. i thought the
kneeboard would be in the gauge folder, i tried the uires folder i tried the modules folder, nothing. even when i go to the menu screen and
go to flights, navigation log, it still crashes that way. i need to find out the folder that the kneeboard is in so i can replace it. apparently its
corrupted some how

The new version of IE (7.0 BETA 2) is incompatible with FS2004. If you installed that, go back to the previous version (IE 6).
Also from the AVSIM forums:
