For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - aibiria - 29-04-2006

Hi there guys!

I've been reading all this morning your posts about the fsx. You guys are asking Dan for compability, etc.

Well, just think about this.
When fs2004 first came here in Uk, that was September 2003 or so, as soon as the simulator came to the shop i bought it. I had a look
at it and I was so happy to see how it improved from its last version fs2002.

However, I didn't make a proper flight with fs2004 till addons like pss released a320 and so on. That was almost january 2004 If i
remember. THERE WAS NO ADDONS FOR IT FOR AGES since its release, The fist addon i bought was the PMDG 737-500 ,which I
didn't like by the way, but it was better than any other planes, you know what i mean.

What is my point??

Why are we woried about fsx release if WE WON'T BE ABLE TO FLY AS WE LIKE TILL A YEAR OR SO AFTER ITS RELEASE????

Another good example, wilco publishing has put on sale its b737 series just a month ago or so. Bloody hell, i love that plane and I had to
wait almost 3 years to fly it in fs!!!.

How about fspassengers?? How long did you wait for its release?

If i were you guys I wouldn't bother to b thinking about fsx release and fsp compatibility for it as its a waste of time

If fsx is released this summer as promised start worring about compabilities in 2008 Smile

Cheers guys and have a very good flight

Yes, that's a valid point. M$ have promised that the SDK for FSX will be released at the same time, allowing developers to start creating
add-ons pretty much immediately. Given M$'s track record if you believe that, you'll believe anything lol

FsP would run "as it is" on FsX 10% chances it will.
Update will take me one month or less: 35%
Update will take me 2-4 month: 40%
Update will take me more: 10%
Update will be impossible/not suitable: 15%
The FsX SDK will be out just after the release: 10% chance

In brief without having a look at FsX I have absolutely no idea of all this.
Just my personnal guess Wink

Yep, I read that part, that is why I was concerned because I will NOT fly with fsx till Dan doesn't upgrade it or releases a new version with
cargo as well ( We all will buy it Wink ) and a worthy plane is made.

So lets wait till 2007 im telling you Drew, lets wait, have a good holidays in Thailand and make aroung 10000 hours during those two
years in fs2004 lol

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - Jetsim - 29-04-2006

Yor'e rightTopApplause. I think that the fsX version of fsp should be released when the `expected to be popular` addon aircraft come out
(around a year after fsX is relesed)

all these posts about FSX, ive just in general ignored them, i wont be buying fsx when it 1st comes out, as im quite happy with fs9 as it is
now. I have some nice planes, got my scenery looking good, good weather and atc, so no need for fsx in my opinion.

Only reason i will get it however, is if Dan is wanting people to beta test his Fsp FSX modifications.........

but, im happy with what i have

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - Jetsim - 29-04-2006

me too

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - Navymmw - 29-04-2006

Don't forget, PMDG is going to be making Patches, to allow most of their planes compatible with FSX, very soon after it's relase.
And also PMDG is already making a A320 witch is being made for FSX. SO we should expect better planes in about 2-5 months after the
release of FSX.

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - FsP Dennis - 29-04-2006

i had said many times before FS9 HAS LONG LIFE TIME BACK!

Well i would buy FSX when i got a new computer and when there comes a good aircraft add-on NOT BEFORE! i can easy use FS9!!!

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - aibiria - 30-04-2006

lol

I will be honest with you. As soon as its on the shop ill buy it. Reason why? Cause I always like to see in which kind of environment I will
fly in a year time lol
I always do, but in fact, I don't use it till its really worthy. And you know how this simworld works.... You wait and wait for new planes and
stuff so this is basically what it really takes the peas. Cause flight simulator on its own is a very good program but... it sucks if you really
want to use it as a training or as a hobby. You need good quality stuff and that always takes time.
So, whoever is willing to join my club lets go to thailand as said lol

Drew, we are two with the same opinion, ive got my scenary, my fsp, points, planes, company, I WON'T THROW ALL THAT WORK BY
THE WINDOW.

By the way, just came back from Gatwich, lots of english tourist going to Spain for this short bank holiday Wink

You guys take care now, and take care of your instruments too Wink

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - jetdude43 - 30-04-2006

are you guys all forgetting that they are trying to make fsx compatible with almost everything of fs2004?

Really??

I can't believe it, so where the developers are going to make more money from? Wink

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - poden - 02-05-2006

I'm not likely to get FSX for quite some time after its release. I'm enjoying FS2004 (and FSP) too much, and don't want to switch over to something
thats not so well supported, and for which I'd have to get a new computer to enjoy much anyway. I waited until mid-2005 to get FS2004, so will likely
wait until mid-2007 or even later to get FSX.

Re: For all those looking forward for flight simulator X - jboweruk - 02-05-2006

I shall despite what I said earlier on probably buy FSX on release, or the nearest w/end. The reason is a lot seems to be going on if you
listen between the lines. People are asking what may or may not be good ideas and getting very coy answers suggesting some of this
stuff will actually in some way appear in FSX. I hope I'm right cos a lot of it sounds really cool.
