Good Payware Old Airliners? - aristoteles - 15-04-2006 There are hundreds of 737s, 747s, but what about old airliners...? I own the Dreamfleet 727, which I really like and recommend, but would like to know if there any good old airliners out there worth purchasing... The Captain Sim 707 looks good but seems to be a little buggy, isn´t it? (I know, the Super80, it´s great too,..) Any ideas? Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - ivo - 15-04-2006 The Super 80 is a great product. If you have money, get it! Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - vaccaro - 16-04-2006 I like; DC10 from SGA Aerosim DC8 and Tristar And lets don't forget the 707 (I think by CaptainSim) But my all time favourites are Dash 7 and Commander 500 by flightsimonline Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - fruitfly - 16-04-2006 DC-3: http://www.maam.org/flightsim/PACKAGES/R4D.htm (1935) N.B. cockpit not fully clickable! Ready for Pushback 747-200 is an old one: http://www.panelshop.com/ (1970) N.B. no quick way to start it other than following SOP! And, of course - good old Concorde: http://www.sstsim.com/ (1976) N.B. nothing less than brilliant, although... gauges' refresh rates are...hmmm... Hey, have you tryed the default Ford trimotor; the first airliner? Post Edited ( 04-16-06 14:27 ) Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - aristoteles - 16-04-2006 So are the Aerosim Aircraft good when compared to Flight1 ones? Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - Jetflyer - 16-04-2006 CS 707 No bugs at all or at least you won't notice any :hmmm: Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - kingfosco - 16-04-2006 RFP 747-200, trust me!! ![]() Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - SGTMAJOR - 17-04-2006 Dreamfleet's 727 is very good indeed.... I also have CaptainSim's 727 & 707.... both are nice, however, I prefer Dreamfleet's aircraft. Flight1's aircraft are good also..... For "Older" aircraft their DC9 is another fine one that is fun to fly. If your looking for props...... Rick Piper's newest release.... Hawker - Siddeley HS.748 is about as good as it gets. It is actually better than some payware aircraft I've purchased and will rank it up there with MAAM's DC-3. With the Base Package and two additional livery add on packs you have 52 different paint scheme's..... and of course Rick Piper... well... doesn't get much better than that. Make sure you read the manual to get the full benefit. (smile) I'm hoping one of you talented folks will work up a profile for this fine aircraft. (hint...hint....Smile) Yes.... I have done a couple... but I equate it with me painting the Sistine Chapel...... My painting my look okay..... but it just isn't the same.(smile) Best wishes, P.S. I think Rick's stuff is at most of the major web-sites..... if not, you can grab it at the Classic British site. http://www.classicbritishfiles.com/ Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - aristoteles - 17-04-2006 Quote:For "Older" aircraft their DC9 is another fine one that is fun to fly. Heard that managing the pressurization system is a little difficult, is it? Thought about purchasing it several times but messing with cabin altitudes isn´t one of my skills... (smile) You have to set your starting field elevation, intended cruise altitude and starting baro pressure along with your intended rate of climb. I think it gives you a formula to follow... however, I just went by the book's example and usually set mine for about 600 fpm......that works fine. Best wishes, Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - omarza - 21-04-2006 I agree with some posters above... go for the RFP 747 (Ready for Pushback). If you like the DF 727 (one of my favourites) you will like the RFP 747 as well ![]() Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - Jetsim - 21-04-2006 Addictive VC10/Trident/Comet (when Comets finished ![]() ![]() Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - vaccaro - 21-04-2006 Ahhh thanks Jetsim ![]() There are 4 excellent FREEWARE old birds made by David Maltby BAC 1-11 DH106 Comet 4 HS121 Trident Vickers VC10 at http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/default.htm Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - Serviceman - 22-04-2006 I like the California Classics Constellation. Freeware, no VC but a great Engineer's panel to manage those four big engines!! Just remember to richen the mixture when you descend from FL230 or be prepared to restart them in a panic. ![]() Re: Good Payware Old Airliners? - TristenEugene - 27-04-2006 Quote:kingfosco wrote: A big F A T I second this!! |
