Any B777-300 landing tips? - calumd - 01-04-2006

Hey

i just bought a b777 and its great but i cant really landing it realitiscly any tips?(e.g. speeds,flaps,att, etc)

I am at work at the moment but if memory servesme right in the front of the manual there is a section for what you have asked.

Do you mean the pss 777? Get their tutorial flight from their site, it teaches you the basics

Hey

I have the PSS 777 and landing it is simple

Keep your speed at around 180 till 1nm then start to slow down quickly.

A hint: Don't flar too earley.

180 till 1 nm? Maybe it works fine for you but the average landing speed is about 135-140. So in one mile you need to descend and reduce speed by
about 40 knts? I would suggest that at about 3-5 nm from landing your speed is already around 140...

If your not used to the 777 you will be flaring too earley.

Thats why you start fast and reduce when you get better.
