money - macoklein - 31-10-2005

my company now has only two planes in the fleep a boinb 737 and a learjet, i only have $45,000,000 in the bank and i am now a c3. i easily have enough
points to be a c5 thanks to a handfull of emergancies. my problem now is that i only have 25 flying hours or so and i need 35 to be a c4. how can i
increase my money so that i can buy a plane that can fly longer distances so that i can rack up my flying hours. i only have one pilot in my fleet
(me) should i creat more pilots in order to raise my fleet bonus after each flight? should i buy more low cost planes? is there another way to raise it?

If you want the most realistic path then sell the Boeing and buy Lears and other business aircraft. One airliner doesn't an airline make.
Seems everyone with FSP tries to compete with DSL or Travel Air on a shoestring budget. Doesn't happen in the real world. Usually you
would find a niche and stay there or if business is outstanding then you can gradually move up but nobody buys one 747 and opens
themselves an airline as an owner/operator.

What I did was start with the lowest level possible ($500,000 I think) and purchased an old De Havilland Beaver to fly passengers and
freight around the south pacific in French Polynesia. Hopefully someday I can get a Learjet and open a Playboy charter business. You
know, one of those charters where the hostesses is topless and offers a massage during flight. Wink

Hey Dan how about putting massages in the service list? lol

You forgot Mr Richard Branson that is exactly what he did, he got a 747-100 reg GVMIA and started Virgin Atlantic the rest as they say is
history.

The solution is probably - to buy several low-cost planes, keep them in the fleet (but make sure, they are 100% condition, otherwize they
will be recognized as "non-flying"), and keep at least one Lear. Lear will allow you to fly long distances, which will bring both hours and
money and the rest of the fleet will give you increase in revenue.
I started "Bush" scenario, with only money for one Cessna 172 and student rating and after 88 flights I've got now C-11 and 9 regional
aircraft. Still can't afford Boeing, though, but I'm going there. Apparently if you earn money and rating step by step it makes the game even
more interesting.

Happy flying!
