As far as i know no plane is really capable of doing so, or at least, it's not used..

You can have the throttle done for you with TO/GA. That's it. Do you constantly tailstrike or something?

That would be really boring and useless. If someone used auto-takeoff they might as well not even bother flying at all.

Exactly. Pilots should be pilots, not autopilot operators.

So you never use autopilot?

indeed, pilots should be pilots Smile

Just use time acceleration. I flew from Washington to L.A. today, a five hour or so flight, and, via 16x time acceleration, it was just over an
hour.

WellWell good pilot skills Smile

I don't think there is such a thing, and like someone said if there is, it isn't used.

Takeoff is about the easiest thing to do manually in a flight. I don't know why it would be needed.

I never heard of anyone saying "Jeez, that was a bad takeoff".

I constantly use autopilot, but I don't go pushback to shutdown on the autopilot. I don't use autobrakes, I do my own approches, and I'm trying to
get off autothrottle.

And to the above, lol

Re: Auto takeoff? - xvxmatthewxvx - 25-12-2005

lol I never thought it possible, What did you do? Roll off the runway? Sunk

I still don't know, i think the moment i switched on the ap after take off, i might have been way off the "ideal track" or so, the ap first went crazy
trying to get everything back to normal again, then the paxs went crazy when i tried to correct the ap again Smile
