What kinda sound card do you have to go along with the speakers? I've got the same (or similiar) system (the THX one... over 700 watts),
and I picked up the top of the line soundcard at the time (so that the 5.1 speakers would actually work). If you don't have the right
soundcard, there's not much tuning you can do, and half the speakers might not even work!

yes ive got the right sound card and everything they work fine i was just wondering what could make my fs experinace better

Find the best bass speaker can afford so that you can really 'feel' the roaring of the engines Smile You're neighbours will love it also when in the
middle of the night you will do an emergency landing Smile

I have a 360 watt surround sound speaker system on my computer. I crank it up 1/3 of the way and turn up the bass and things vibrate off
my desk and my windows rattle when flying in jets like an F-16 or flying the old big props

Re: Best sound on fs - samiranks - 23-12-2005

guys remember, even if you tweak your sound, youll also have to tweak the sound inf fs9.cfg because fs9 still reconvert the sound back to
minimums or should i say to its likings. so I dont remember the numbers right now, but ill look it up and let you guys know what the
changes should be inf fs9.cfg

Re: Best sound on fs - SWAFO - 23-12-2005

I've got my sound operating on about a 1/5th of the volume (and bass), and have my soundcard set up for a "simulated surround" mode
within FS (I don't like the FS 5.1 sound). It sounds very realistic, and isn't TOO loud or TOO quiet. I've got a bunch of custom settings in
regards to equalizers, trebble, bass, etc. so I couldn't provide exact details on how to tune it!

Re: Best sound on fs - pdjpeter - 23-12-2005

Re: Best sound on fs - AKLupine - 24-12-2005

IF your floor has carpet you might think of relocating the sub so that none of its sound us "muffled" Music

Re: Best sound on fs - pdjpeter - 24-12-2005

no its lamiate wood flows right around nice n easy

Re: Best sound on fs - Dutch64 - 24-12-2005

Sub doesn't care much about carpet or not, the trebble though is much more sensitive to wood or carpet etc Wink
