Drink Service!!!!! - WBHoenig - 21-10-2005 I just wanted to make something to the effect of a complaint (gasp!) My usual flight route is the short distance between either Austin to Dallas or Austin to Houston. They are only about half an hour. Somewhat frequently, I am a passenger on this route myself, and I am always served drinks. But, it seems that drink service on FsP takes forever and I am only about 50% finished with drinks upon descending to 6,000 ft. WHY DOES IT TAKE FOREVER?!?!?!?!?! Re: Drink Service!!!!! - pagir - 21-10-2005 The service time was set with the cooperation of a real flight attendant. So maybe the flight attendants from Austin to Dallas are working faster than others ![]() Pagir Re: Drink Service!!!!! - Jetflyer - 28-10-2005 And may I also ask why i takes so long to serve 200 pax as oipposed to 100? Surely twice as many flight attendents roughly will serve, so it should be the same length of time. Re: Drink Service!!!!! - SaVas - 28-10-2005 Well, if you have it set to auto service, turn it to you control it and as soon as you hit the altitude for being able to serve then start then. How big of a plane are you using? I can normally get service completed in a 737-900 on a 30 minute flight. Re: Drink Service!!!!! - Fritz Bayerlein - 28-10-2005 I still think the drink service takes about 5 minutes too long for ALL planes. Also attendant aren't chronometer... you may have 5mn difference and even 10mn for 130 pax... drink on dress, problems, special request, childrens... Dan Re: Drink Service!!!!! - Jetflyer - 28-10-2005 Well there was no chance of serving the pax anything on a 30 min flight on my 737-800 to the 150 pax without getting penalised for going below 6000ft. And Im not waiting any longer for them to finish since time costs fuel and money. Re: Drink Service!!!!! - WBHoenig - 29-10-2005 Quote:How big of a plane are you using? It is a bit longer that from Austin to Dallas than Austin to Houstin (and visa versa). But they have to warm it!!! and are all the drinks alcoholic? ![]() Post Edited ( 10-29-05 04:22 ) Re: Drink Service!!!!! - DanSteph - 29-10-2005 Quote:littleMax wrote: I had the same reaction than you when the attendant told me that... in fact it's logicall, the food is pre heated in a box and everyone have the same box... you just need to heat in micro wave and distribute the box... for drink everyone will command a different one, it require much more time. Dan Re: Drink Service!!!!! - Nuttycomputer - 29-10-2005 We may also consider the type of drink your getting. Taking money for alcoholic drinks and drinks you have to make special, probably don't take as long as asking if the customer would like to get Pepsi or Dr. Pepper this trip. |
