Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - xvxmatthewxvx - 22-09-2005 Hi everyone, I am really annoyed right now. Do any of you experience this using ultimate traffic. I was going in to land at CYYZ (Toronto) from KJFK in a Cessna Grand Caravan. Im cleared for 22R (think it was that) and the ATC told me to head right in. I look behind me and an Air Jamaica (Airbus maybe, I forget what it was) was also landing there heading right for me. Literally less than 50 meters away. I desperately try to avoid it pointing the nose down and it rams right into me I get a crash and in my last moments I see it continuing to land. I don't know how, but I was only injured. Have 60% health and many passengers died. I was at 3000f alt. I only have a couple million dollars and it appears I will have to get a DC3 now. This almost happened to me as I was going to KJFK. I had to avoid a incoming plane on the same runway. Luckily I was ok that time. Have traffic density at 100% for airlines and have General Aviation checked off. Re: Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - Jetsgo - 22-09-2005 I don't use Ultimate Traffic, so I wouldn't know, but is there mabey some way to decrease your Ultimate Traffic traffic? Or re-route the planes? Re: Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - eazy - 22-09-2005 This could help: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=aismooth&CatID=root Re: Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - SaVas - 22-09-2005 Ultimate traffic only creates your traffic and the flight plans. The default ATC is what causes the planes to land. it has nothing to do with Ultimate Traffic. if you want to avoid this, try AISmooth available at Avsim as a freeware download. It will make AI circle and wait their turn on landing. it will also have aircraft on parallels with one runway for landing and the other for take offs Re: Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - DBE - 22-09-2005 I agree! I was on final towards LSGG this evening when a 737 flew right under me and stole my landing slot (I first though it must be Brad, but it turned out to be some United flyboy, with a 737, in Switzerland, riiiiight....). And I'm using MyTraffic2004. Basically its because u got traffic level maxed and ur tryin to land a small plane into a major airport, I dont know about these utilities to make AI traffic wait their turn sounds interesting. I generally go for smaller airports for my smaller planes and larger airports for my MEJ. Tryin to land a MEJ at a small airport and u could end up with a bunch of cessnas in front of you which is equally frustrating. You should always keep your eyes open at major airports cos those big jets always approach much faster than ur small cessna can and they will always follow the perfect glidescope and if your in the way, well u know. I generally try to manually land a small plane, im usually enough out the "perfect" glide scope to avoid a crash. As soon as u get the "Clear to land" atc call then othe planes that overtake u are told to go around (eventually) so you dont need to be told to go around youself. If another plane is just infront of you when u get the "Clear to land number X for landing" call then u can generate more distance by circling around and so avoiding a go around call. Re: Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - SaVas - 23-09-2005 As I said, AISmooth And it has been discussed at length several times on many forums that the proper traffic levels for more realism are between 75 and 85% traffic, not 100% Re: Ridiculous Ultimate Traffic - DBE - 23-09-2005 Quote:DanSteph wrote: I faithfully flap my wings every time! ![]() |
