WORLDS MOST POPULAR AIRLINE 2004-2005 RESULTS - Shane Herbel - 15-07-2005

Rusults are in for 2004-2005
12 million passengers in 94 countries were questioned, and here are the results
for the worlds most popular airline. Congratulations to Cathay and good to see that
my national carrier Qantas is still in the top three as they have been for the last few
years.

1. Cathay Pacific
2. Qantas
3. Emirates
4. Singapore Airlines
5. British Airways
6. Malaysia Airlines
7. Thai Airways
8. Qatar Airways
9. Asiana Airlines
10. Ana All Nippon Airlines

Thai Airways won the prize for food in economy class and Asiana has the best cabin crew.

Malaysia Airlines becomes only the fourth airline in the world to receive the coveted "5 Star Airline" ranking in the Skytrax Rating Programme.

Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines have maintained their 5 Star ranking status for this year.

I'm surprised to see BA in 5th as personally speaking I wouldn't fly with anyone else. Their safety record speaks for itself. Not a single
crash since 1974; that's impressive.

i'm surprised American Airlines isnt on there. Being that there a #1 Carrier and largest in the world, and the partnership with European
Airlines too

Yeah, alot of the airlines here do ALOT more business than the airlines on the list. American, United, and Delta are all a lot bigger (in
terms of PAX carried, and daily flights) than almost all, if not all of the airlines on that list. Where did you get this?

I think there's a misunderstanding here. The survey was not about the economically strongest or largest airline, but about passenger satisfaction.

Lol, thanks... I know my airline isn't one of the MOST popular (at least abroad)... now when you get down to customer satisfaction we're
NUMBER ONE!!!! (Nem said this list was about pax satisfaction? I'll check out the shady website it came from... we've won the triple

If I remember right, in terms of airline size (pax carried, route system, etc)...the list is something like:

1. AAL
2. DAL
3. UAL
4. NWA
5. COA

I may have UAL and DAL reversed...
