PMDG+Active Sky ASV= G-forces - ok65 - 07-10-2005

sometimes i got penalty points when i fly trough turbulent weather(i got windsmooth checked within fsuipc)
Is there anybody that have any solutions to avoid this??
Do i have to got metars of every inch of my flight,he,he

Re: PMDG+Active Sky ASV= G-forces - SaVas - 07-10-2005

Can you describe it a little more in detail? Are you referring to points subtracted from your pilots points? Or the pax satisfaction?

Re: PMDG+Active Sky ASV= G-forces - ok65 - 08-10-2005

It is my pilot points,of course.
Passengers you can please again,he,he.I give you a example....I take a flight from ENTC(Norway) to EGLL(United Kingdom) cruising
fl380 with autopilots engaged.I have a steady tailwind and everything is perfect(passengers satisfaction 100%)then sometimes it has
happen to me that winds are changing very sudden and the result is that the plane got a drop in altitude and the autopilots working like
h.... to get back in altitude.in this scenario i got heavy penaltyes for excessice g-forces

Are you using Active sky? If so, see what the settings for VAS are... Also try in fsuipc to switch on pressure smoothing (i think that's how it is called)

Re: PMDG+Active Sky ASV= G-forces - ok65 - 08-10-2005

Thank for your replies,i have found out what coursing it...i had the option in ASV active sky...enable vertical air simulations, enabled.
Its realistic simulations, but i suppose i got to choose, penalty or realistic wind simulation:-)

Is see now that the topic title mentions already you're using ASV, sorry Wink
If you use the very latest Actice Sky (ASVe) you can set the intentisty and strenght of VAS points, i have mine at 40 or 50% and an occurance of 20%,
it works fine that way

Where's the occurance box, can't find it in my copy of ASV.

I think its part of Active Sky V - Enhanced which is the new version of ASV

Re: PMDG+Active Sky ASV= G-forces - TonyH - 08-10-2005

You can upgrade ASV to ASV Enhanced free.

Already upgraded.

Surface wind limit
Wind drift rate
Aloft predictability
Auto Vas frequency
auto vas strength

Where's the occurance box?. Wonder

In options 'Auto VAS frequency' in % is the occurence, 'Auto VAS strength' is the strength of the thermals.
