FSX Demo / Real Version - gronji2004 - 01-01-2007 Hey, I downloaded the FSX demo for my system, and it it runs with FPS of 20. Will it be the same with the real version? I've been lurrrreed into considering buying it. ![]() ![]() Post Edited ( 01-01-07 21:27 ) Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - Drew - 01-01-2007 Quote:gronji2004 wrote: No Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - gronji2004 - 01-01-2007 OK. ![]() Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - FSfreak - 02-01-2007 no it will not.. FSX Demo runs at a framerate of 20 FPS because the file size and the amount it takes up on your hard drive is less than it takes up if you were to buy the real version, the real version, depending on if you get the standard or the deluxe version takes up 13-16 GB (gigabytes) of memory Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - olseric - 03-01-2007 Actually, I have better performance with the full version that I did with the demo. Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - gronji2004 - 03-01-2007 What do you think then? Should I go for it? Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - WBHoenig - 04-01-2007 What are your system specs? Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - gronji2004 - 04-01-2007 Intel Core Duo 2GHZ Processor 1GB DDR RAM + 512MB That I haven't put in yet. 512 MB NVidia GeForce 7300 SE 250GB Hard Drive A Free Upgrade To Windows Vista ? Post Edited ( 01-04-07 08:34 ) Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - Jevar - 04-01-2007 I have FSX on my home computer and it doesn't run as smooth as in the demo. i get around 14 FPS, but not steady, sometimes it drops. But you have a good video card there, so you may have some extra fps. (it is a guesse, i am NO expert) I read that a duo core proccesor isn't the fastest for playing FSX because the program only uses 1 processor. That would be solved with windows vista. so you are lucky to have a free upgrade. ![]() then FSX would be very nice, i hope. (and if dan has FSPFSX out it would become awesome) Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - highlander - 04-01-2007 Gronji - you should have pretty fair performance with FSX; I'd go for it. I'm on an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.2 GHz), 1 GB PC6400 800MHz DDR2 RAM, an ATi Radeon X800 PRO 256 MB gfx card, and it's playable for me. That 512 MB you haven't installed yet - is it the same type and speed of RAM as your existing 1 GB? If so, put it in; FSX loves to have a lot of memory. I'm going to upgrade to 2 GB later in the year, once I get a nice DirectX 10 graphics card. Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - anonymouse91 - 04-01-2007 I think that will run FSX fine. My specs are Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, 2GB DDR2 RAM (I think PC4200), Nvidia Geforce 7600GT 256MB and a 500GB HDD running Windows Vista Ultimate and FSX works fine on it on medium low settings. I haven't tried going higher just incase... but even on medium low, graphics are great. Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - gronji2004 - 04-01-2007 Great! It looks like Im buying it then ![]() Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - jeremy19446 - 04-01-2007 If I were you I wouldn't buy. I have talked to people that have even better system specs and there only getting a max of 10fps Re: FSX Demo / Real Version - gronji2004 - 04-01-2007 8o ! Erm. What do others think? The 7300 is good enough although I would have said 7600-7950 and if you have money the DX10 card...But your computer will run the game very nicely. I say go for it, If you buy it from Circuit City you save about $10 i think, Isnt the regular price $79.99? If it is then you save $10.00 |
