Blasted penatly points - Jetflyer - 19-09-2005

While this is a good program and all....I would just like to ask can something be done about GETTING ILLEGITIMATE PENALTY POINTS!!!!!!!!!

I take flying on this seriously and its a kick in the face to keep getting dozens of fake penalty points because some areas of the program are
misleading for example, or wrong.

For example I just did a flight where I got 450 penalty points for exceeding max takeoff weight when the weight indicator said it was at 100%, which
is normal for the max but it did not flash orange or read 101%.

However on landing my report said that the MTOW was exceeded by 1500lbs. WHY CAN YOU NOT MAKE IT SO THAT EVEN IF YOU EXCEED MTOW BY 1LB IT SAIS 101%,
so you at least know its over MTOW?? This can be misleading. By seeing it say 100%, I assumed it meant everything was fine, it wasn't orange, so I
didn't bother check the actual figures, seeing as it should have been AT max takeoff weight, not above it. But IF you go overweight, by even one
measly pound I think it should make you aware by saying 101% MTOW and flashing orange.

Now I have more penatly points than bounes points nearly thanks to these stupid fake penalty points. Can these bugs honestly be fixed.

Re: Blasted penatly points - Ryanamur - 19-09-2005

Did you taxi close to a fuel pump. That could be your problem. Fs2004 automatically refuels the plane if you come too close to one of
those. To my knowledge, if you do load the plane past MTOW, FsP will display the percentage above 100% say 105%. The only exception
is if you fall between 100.00000000000000000000000000000000000001% and 100.4999999999999999999999999999999% where
FsP will display as 100% because of the round up feature.

>>getting dozens of fake penalty points Doubt ?

Do you have the last FSP version because this was corrected...

Re: Blasted penatly points - SaVas - 19-09-2005

I dont normally max out the weight of my aircraft. I tend to be between 75 and 90% with fuel needed. No need for 100%

Re: Blasted penatly points - Jetflyer - 19-09-2005

Yeah maybe the round up thing was what was going on....grrrr. On the flight I'm doing now I'm sure I've got penalty points but I deserved them
probably for overbanking in severe weather.

Re: Blasted penatly points - SWAFO - 19-09-2005

I've never had this problem, unless I stop near a fuel pump. As Dan mentioned, these issues were addressed in the latest update.

Re: Blasted penatly points - Jetflyer - 19-09-2005

Well I have all the updates installed. Oh well.....instead I did a load of flights to make up for my penalty points by deliberately flying in rough
weather without crashing....100+ bonus points for rough weather.

Isn't that the great thing about FSP? You mess up, then you make up! Fun!

lol

Re: Blasted penatly points - SaVas - 19-09-2005

I would think it would be faster to buy a cheap plane (under $100K) take off from Mosul, let them shoot you up, make a safe landing and
viola sell the swiss cheese scrap heap for a loss and rinse repeat.
