Development News - About incoming beta

Thanks for those that have sent a mail for beta test, sorry, I'm too busy to reply yet:

1--Last minute critical adjustments &lt----I'm here yet
2--Deep control of the incoming beta (It doesn't make sense to make you test a buggy version)
3--Preparing the beta test website
4--Answering your mail, giving you beta website access.

For those that have sent a mail, can you please send me another one with your desired nickname for your account on the beta test website ?
(I have two Gerard, take this in account for your nickname)

Thanks Wink

Off-topic about FSX vs P3D

Well, there is a big difference when you have a good hardware and you push the sliders and the cfg to the max.
With the same setting my FSX don't render the same and the FPS are higher in Prepar3D with more elements on screen.
This said the "not for entertainment" is probably a joke. It's still microsoft flight simulator with better graphics.

If you want to continue this discussion please open a new thread for that !!!! Thanks I'll delete further comments about this.

Hello
could add a sound of passengers when the plane this way wing platform and when this aircraft loading fuel would be very real please

Development News

The start of the beta give me some hard time as often.
What worked flawlessly on my computer fail on some other with the exact same configuration... wow

So I have to make some major changes in my code and it will take sometime.
Not months, but the release might be a bit later than Christmas.

Stay in touch anyway, I'll give regular news about release date and how the beta is going.

The good news here, is that half of the beta team have windows 10.
The second good news is that each improvement with the windows 10 compatibility
of FsPassengersP3D will also work for FsPassengersX as they share the same code.

Applause Great news Dan! I have finally installed FS Global 2010 with FTX compatibility and ORBX Global base pack to make P3D V3 look better. Now I
need FsP to make it viable to use Smile

Development News

Third beta released last night, it start to look like a final, it run 100% on various configurations included windows 10 !
I know there are still some improvement to do in the failure domain for example but I can work on this
after the first release.

Yet it miss a complete check of the documentations/payload model/texts

Christmas for the release date seem realistic....

Good job, Dan.

Thank you for the frequent updates. The waiting is more tolerable when you know what's happening behind the scenes Smile

Maybe a pre order system so that people can start buying now ready so that they don't forget.

Hi Dan,

Bye

I don't know Prosim but I don't see any reason why it would not work.

I was going to ask about that to the boss of FlightSimStore but I don't like at all the idea to pre-sale
a product that isn't ready. Yet FsPassengers it's try before-you-buy and I'm happy with that.
(But I'm probably the worse commercial in the world Smile )

Hello Dan:

When you say "christmas" for release date, you mean 25 of December, or christmas season in general?

Thanks! Gift

Re: Blog devellopment thread about FsPassengers3D for Prepar3D - DanSteph - 16-12-2015

Well, apart some refinement (doc, payload model) FsPassengersP3D is finished for the first release.

I'll now correct the docs (en,fr,ge) and proceed to the release candidate no1.
Beta testers will chase all the details that aren't correct, I'll then probably go for the release candidate no2. or gold beta.
If all look correct for the beta tester I'll have to prepare the website and create the sale page on online market.

At last it will be ready for the 25 december, but it's possible that it's ready some day before that.

In anyway I'll continue to fix things after that, mass release will certainly reveal some bugs as usual,
I plan also a new release for the FSX version, and I'll probably change the forum here in january.
(this almost homemade forum doesn't support php 5.0 and my provider will not support php 4 forever)

You know everything... Smile
