Re: [Coming soon] Updates - tbird - 01-09-2005

Quote:Yes, the alternate has been discussed already (and on multiple occasions ).

And what's the result of the discussion?..
Also we should have the opportunety to change the ETA because of delays, like put on holding pattern due to heavy traffic...but I guess
thats been discussed as well...

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - crowebird - 01-09-2005

Yes very well done, I love this program!
BTW: I am working on a complete airport list, when I get alot more done, you will see I mean complete, is somthing like this already on its
way, that way I know if I should keep going or not? This includes all Airpors I can get information about in the united states, using both
IACO codes and IATA codes (for the airport fuel information database, so just about every airport in the USA will show up on the list

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - DanSteph - 01-09-2005

remember this is not the last update, I'll continue to work on FsP during the next month.

And alternate could be done later but sorry no change on ETA. planned.. on pax tickets you have
an arrival hours, you can't take a pen and change manually that in flight on each tickets Smile

(to be more precise changing ETA in flight would be as a new option "gi'me the arrival bonus
I need bonus" wich would loose all the intterest to predict precise arrival time.

Release in some hour, I wait a file from a tester and I think it will be okay.

Dan

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - alphaone - 01-09-2005

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - Bush Flyer - 02-09-2005

Yup, your right about that Dan...lol, but it would be really cool to hear the PNF coming on the PA anouncing a delay because of lots of
traffic, or like a snowstorm at the airport and they have to sweep the RW before any airplane has permisson to land.

Anyway, I'm looking forward for the next update release Top

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - Eclipz - 02-09-2005

Hello everybody

Excellent job Dan... very cool to take care of your baby Wink
regarding ETA, i agree with tbird... it would be nice to hear a sound for a delayed landing... of course it needs to record one more sound :/
talking about "i want the bonus" well... if you change the ETA while in flight... then no bonus... but negative points...
think it would be a nice thing but of course it's not so important.

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - jboweruk - 02-09-2005

Hmm yeah, maybe cut the negative down some maybe 50% if you tell the pax, "we're sorry but some turkey in a cessna got clearance on
downwind and we're cleared behind him, even though he's behind us in the air so we will have to "go around", we would like to apologise
for the inconveniance and suggest you take it up with the Controller since it's his fault" lol

And for those wondering where that came from try flying into Redding in California with Traffic2005, some rotten little towrag in some
small a/c (not a Cessna but can't actually think what) keeps doing bump'n'goes and always gets clearance as he's climbing out and
always puts himself behind me on approach so I have to turn off course and loop round to get behind him far enough to avoid a go-
around, and somehow I always manage to still be late as a result. Rant

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - Curtis - 02-09-2005

I made a suggestion sometime ago to Dan and one of the beta testers about including and improving on a utility called "runway info
guage" I think it has been out since 2000 but does not work well with FS9 in full screen mode.
It allows you by the touch of a hot key and entering an ICAO code to get all the necessary info about the approaching runway, like ILS,
NDB, VOR etc. That way these frequencies can be easily entered, seeing that FSP has this great AP.
Jut wondered what you guys thought?

Regards

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - Passenger57 - 02-09-2005

That gauge CTD'ed my system a few times, before I got rid of it. Was it reworked and is running good now?

I use FSNavigator to get me all information - okay, most info.

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - Curtis - 02-09-2005

Hi Pax57,
That's the thing, I think with Dans' talents he can work wonders with that gauge/ utility to enhance FSP.

Re: [Coming soon] Updates - DanSteph - 02-09-2005

I think such gauge goes would go beyond of the purpose of FsP...

the new version is available ... Wink
