Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - HB-100 - 29-03-2007

Oh nice, another great HB-100 -Posky flight!

And it was such a wonderful begin.. Cry

Ah yes enjoy...this was at FL200, climb rate 2000ft/min, and 90%MTOW. (yes fuel controled before start)

Sure I thought it would be nice to take some screenshots, till few seconds later I might watch how the craft pitched up and the ugly red
stallwarning appeard compained with a nice fall off the sky.
(I think I had deja vues or how this is written..)

So we may sneak home once again:

Shall I mention that I made one of my best kiss landings here?

Well what does it helps. Flight plan canceled. Again not because points but because reputation.

Come, fly with 'RockSolid' and Posky and you have more action than you can handle!!

Thank's for all the help in the chatt.

I found the posky forum..and ohhh does this sound familaeir to me! wow

http://forum.projectopensky.com/index.php?showtopic=20287

and WHAT? instead on the download page and in the package of the basemodel, the right FDE is linked in a post in the forum and
hosted elsewhere?

http://forum.projectopensky.com/index.php?showtopic=3005

urgh i never head guessed that.

Ok, downloaded, installed.. and spend 20 minute to merge that .cfg file with my one.. :/
oh and mac it has another creation date but is named exactly the same..Doubt

I am not that confident at the moment that it will solve this nasty behaviours (the rudder on landing is another for example and the 0 sight
in normal pannel view with zoom 1.0 (0.75 gives wrong distance judges)).

Now the day is over..

Let's see what the next day for HB-100 posky flight surprises are awaitng on me.

(the good look of the model and me already started to paint it, makes it hard to just delete it. Hunappy )

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - DSW334 - 30-03-2007

oh men!!! What a flight.. At startup it was foggy like never before.. Sight was just a couple of meters. But as soon as we were airborn, the
sky cleared up and a beautiful sun came into vision.

But then we went into descent. Everybody got hit by a severe snowstorm. Visibility -100ft. You could only see the runway lights at about
100ft above it. Thank god we got ILS.. Smile But it was a very exciting flight. Perhaps even better then going down to Paro and Lukla. Big Grin

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - eazy - 30-03-2007

I suffered from a rapid fuel loss during that flight and could not make it to destination. First I suspected Dan because I already had
mysterious fuel leaks with the Tupolev at Novosibirsk, but this could also be a side effect of the scenery.
Then I suspected Oleg to steal the fuel and sell it to the russian mob - but he was drunk and out of order as usual...

After we crashed into Lake Baikal I repeated the flight offline for the first half. Fuel flow was normal all the time, so I decided to switch
on FSInn and see if it makes any difference. As soon as I was connected to server the fuel rapidly dropped. Within 2 minutes I had almost
lost all of it. So it's definitely something weird between the Tu and FsInn. If it can't be solved it seems I'm not able to do any online flights with
the Tupolev Hunappy

Perhaps you can hook up to tracker's fuelplane? Wink

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - Wardak - 30-03-2007

Low visibility at the destination.

Wow: that looked like a leg an a half! wow

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - pegase - 30-03-2007

Nice pics above guys

True DSW

Perhaps it is because we trained and trained over for Paro and Lukla and did not expect any special things on this flight tro Irkustsk
(although Mark warned us about the microclimat "enjoyed" by this airport Wink )

At arrival, The parking was a kind of grey uniform soup with some red letters here and there. When ready to go, the red dots where all far
away, I had the luck to get enough visibility to guess where was the runway for take off. Once in the air, nothing difficult, a comfortable flight
[Image: WT2-32-00.jpg]

TOD reached, I meet the clouds quite high (about fl 270)

Cloud presence going thicker and thicker
[Image: WT2-32-02.jpg]

And a bit of turbulence just to wake up the passengers
[Image: WT2-32-03.jpg]

A bit of visibility yo enjoy the sunset on the lake
[Image: WT2-32-04.jpg]

Not for long
[Image: WT2-32-05.jpg]

This ILS was efficient and welcome
[Image: WT2-32-06.jpg]

Next time I switch Back Landing ligths on BEFORE replay
[Image: WT2-32-07.jpg]

Skating after flying
[Image: WT2-32-08.jpg]

Meeting the firsts DSW on a pretty 737 800
[Image: WT2-32-09.jpg]

Martin and his beloved A320, Mac in a colorfull VC10
[Image: WT2-32-10.jpg]

Vegas became visible just half a second before touch down
[Image: WT2-32-11.jpg]

No problem, plenty of space here Wink
[Image: WT2-32-12.jpg]

Weather is a very subjective notion. I promised him a quite descent visibility (like this)

But on his sight he got that Big Grin

Just brilliant, Pierre! Top

I especially love the atmosphere on that "sunset over the lake" shot.. Applause

Wardak, may I suggest a bit of:

[Image: Head_Shoulders_Citrus_Fresh_for_Greasy_H...324990.jpg]

lol

FYI: as we approach Europe, full weather forecasts will soon be available again..

That Citation had some serious drift on the rwy! Was it Icy? Smile
Good choose of the music..fit's perfect.

I wish I had made it to that destination.... that snow-fog combination I had loved. Thought I guess with taht A330 I had come into serious
trouble becasue I can not see the rwy out of the cockpit view in even 'normal' circumstance.
(Hope the updated .air file is a little better in that point)

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - Joeflyer - 30-03-2007

Wonderful pics everyoneSmile It's good to finally get home today. Have had my share of real time dodging and threading through
thunderstorms the past 2 days/nights in the caravan, so maybe snow will be a welcome relief in FS9Big Grin Nasty crosswinds on 2
approaches down to 300 ft. AGL wasn't very appealing either. It all worked out in the end though. Now it's time for me to get busy and fly
on to IrkutskSmile

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - Drew - 30-03-2007

Just flew yesterdays flight (sorry i couldn't make it online)

What a boring flight, ground is flat, nothing to look at lol

however, i just did my best ever (apart from upsloping Lukla) landing of -13.08 Smile

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 (Leg #32 - 33) - HB-100 - 30-03-2007

My flight was everything else than boring.
I installed that 'new' posky flight dynamic.

I have no clue why the deepest lake in the world looks green in my FS2004. (I always thought deep lakes look dark blue or black).
But with that Sun I liked it!

Ops, that was a FAST sun set! (And FS2004 time switch..how do we like it!)
But..hmm just changed the lake colour and give the plane a nice look!

That glimming on the tail with this nice sparks must be my good A330 fairy! I don't mind it is there it looks cute! Smile

A Tail strike you think? Yes and no. It's a posky Tail-Strike (7degree) only, and was not to avoid. (At least not with me at the control! Wink )
Another funny story..

Now the next picture was surprising to me:

I can actually SEE the rwy from my panel..NOW that is new!
Ok still I have to land with about 180knts to see it ..But if I see the rwy this way I do that!

There were a dozend or more great pictures I shot after that one..from replays. They really looked awesome..just that they did not found
the way on my HD. Somehow I have filled 3.6 GByte HD space on this flight... Wonder

But final....
I have to say that new posky .air file is world class better then the one before. It still has some funny old behaviours. But with that new one
I can become a friend. The cool aircraft model is it worth. I guess I have found a new most prefered Aircraft for me.

--

And ah Drew: -13.08 ft/min Smile Congrat!

AW1898 32 30-03-07 Drew Irkutsk, RUSSIA Citation X 01:34:43 464 Nm -13.08

The second time right?
Are you still capable to land with a nice medium touch down that the passengers actually can recognice that the plane has landed?
I would MISS that a sa passenger! lol
