Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 28-12-2005

I guess it does work with FD...

This is a very simple question for anyone who has PMDG 737.

As my signature says, I just bought the PMDG 737ng both 600/700 and 800/900 yesterday. I found and printed a nifty 56-page flight tutorial on avsim,
and I am attempting to fly the flight in it. However, I just got to takeoff and it instructs me to accerelate to 40% N1 and then activate TO/GA mode.
However, I can't find where the TO/GA switch is. Can someone point out to me where it is?

Hey there! Yeah I had the same problem and the answer is the upper left screw... I thought they were joking but it worked so theres your answer! Keep
flying one of the most popular aircraft in the world the 737! Smile

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 29-12-2005

The best there is... and PMDG is the best addon airplane there is. Although that is kinda stupid...

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - SWAFO - 29-12-2005

I posted a picture here not too long ago of where the real TO/GA buttons are located (on the throttles, in quite an awkward position...
espcially for sim modelling). I tried searching for the post, but no joy! It may have been posted in the real world forum.

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 29-12-2005

Oh well.

I wonder if I could assign a trigger on my joystick to it?

And BTW, what happened to your sig, Brad?

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - Nasder - 29-12-2005

Check if there is a TO/GA assignment somewhere in your keysettings and assign it if there's one there. If not, try contacting PMDG support with the
matter. I find it odd that it's not working

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - Drew - 29-12-2005

are you sure its not working?

does it light up like this..

if so, have you tried putting your throttles to zero when on take off to see if it stays at full throttle still?

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 29-12-2005

Like I said earlier, it now works w/ FD on.

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - Drew - 29-12-2005

didnt see ya say that lol

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 29-12-2005

Oh God, I'm having another problem now. Whenever I try to enable Autothrottle, I get a blinking pink light that says, "AT P/RST." Does anyone know
why???

This is the only way we use it here at SWA. I wouldn't have any recommendations for the VNAV/AT mode.

This happens to me at times, I think this is a bug, because then when I reload the flight it works again. And if that doesn't work, I restart FS9 and
it works again.

Try doing it like this, if you fly according FS9 ATC

Set your flightlevel you get from ATC.
Fix the FMC, enter the VREF speed +10 in the MCP, press autothrottle arm and then the F/D. That usually works for me (the way I do it all the time)
If that doesn't work, reloading the flight often does.

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 29-12-2005

I've found out that restarting FS (sometimes multiple times) does help.

It's not a common bug, it happens mostly at times when I do more than one or two flights without restarting FS9

Re: PMDG and TO/GA - WBHoenig - 29-12-2005

It happens to me on 50-60% of flights with PMDG!!!
