Thanks for explaining that John. I've been flying nearly half my life, so I can't see why anyone WOULDN'T enjoy it!

lol IMHO why most gamer mags don't do flight sims.

1. If your not going mach 5 with your hair on fire with unlimited nuke ammo firing at 10,000rps. It is not enough action.

2. If there is no way to cheat or exploit part of the game to take advantage of others to make your stats go higher. Its not fun.

3. If you have to read the manual for more than 30 seconds. It is to compicated for the simple minded folks.

4. If you can't do a 2000 hit combo using some magical power. Not enough special effects.

5. If you need more than a few buttons and a directional pad. It would be to hard to remember how to use a multi-hit combo using
magical powers.

6. If it takes longer than 5 minutes to master it. It is to boring.

I think that about covers it. Now to the good part.

I enjoy both PC Pilot and Computer Pilot I feel I get more out of PC Pilot IMO. But when it comes down to flight sims were are a genra of
our own and yes there are alot of us. We are mostly adults I don't know alot of kids flying fs2004 but I know there are some out there. Plus
we see flight sims as something we can do in real life or something we already do for a living and just want to hone in our skills.I fly in
2k4 knowing that as soon as my wife graduates from college I am starting flight school and I am sure some of what I have learned in 2k4
will make is easier for me by having an uderstanding of why things work the way they do.

Two years ago a friend of mine took me up in a piper arrow II I have never been in a plane that has actually left the ground. The strange
part was that I had no fear of doing it because after 17 years of flight sims on computers (back on DOS systems 4 to 8 colors and 5.25in
floppys) it felt like I have done this a milion times before it felt natural. It stunk that most of the gauges I needed were on his side. My
friend was really impressed and my brother-in-law didn't even notice that I was the one flying the plane most of the time. When he was
asked if he mind that someone that has never been up in a plane before took the controls he said no he wasn't really looking forwards to
it.Then my brother-in-law was told that I have been flying the plane for the last half hour he couldn't believe him.The coolest part was
when the owner of the planes came in on our rightside in his (I think) cessna 310 twin prop. I got a good picture of it as he broke off.So
do I think there should be more magazine and reviews out there my answer would be a yes.

PS. There is nothing wrong with Battlefield 2 it is nice stress relief after along days work...
