FS Earth Tiles kml wont start message ??? - harry250 - 04-05-2015
hello I have created
2 paths for Coast and DeepWater ( both shown as light blue for coast and darker blue for deepwater as per the pic below)
labelled them accordingly
and saved them (save places as AreaKML.kml) in google earth
then in fsearth tiles
selected import button
then selected k button
but when I tried to start fs earth tiles with 4 blocks selected ( as per pic below)
It wont start with the following message being shown
You have excluded all tiles or have not defined a polygon named area if using a KML file!
can anyone help regarding this ???
I would be really greatful for any help
as i would like to create a kml file for the coast
so as to avoid downloading the blank white tiles thar show up near to the coast
thanks

FS Earth Tiles and FS2004 - fl220 - 17-01-2021
(20-07-2008, 11:04 AM)Hello, I am aware that this is an hold thread. But I need help.1. I am searching for where to download : Image tool, ver. january 04 and resample, ver. March 04. Both tools are for FS2004 HB-100 Wrote: I understand that there is no "blending mask" in FS2004.
So, I would like to know to achieve the "Blending" of a FS Earth Tiles photoreal backgroung image of an airport with the default FS2004 scenery background. I want to learn how to soften the edges of the image and let it " blend " with the default FS2004 scenerey.
I can use GIMP or Photoshop editing software to manually edit photoreal image .
Thank you for your attention.

FS Earth Tiles v1.0 is a Flightsimulator-Tool I developed for me and you inspired by the cool Tile proxy project helping you to get photo textures as static addon scenery into the Flightsimulator by accessing earth services.
FS Earth Tiles v1.0 is freeware and open Source.
You may use the Sources of v1.0 without any restriction for your own projects.
IMPORTANT!
All earth services have copyright on their material! That means you may not distribute sceneries you create that includes such material.
You are also not really allowed to download such material and store and use it in FS or elswhere without the permission of the services.
**** Note: Please do not ask for a service configuration here! ***
Here is the release Version v1.0
FS Earth Tiles v 1.0

FSEarthTiles.ini needs to be adjusted because service1 applied some changes:

with a water mask (check UserDocu.rtf chapter 7) and a little bit autogen(with FSX's Annotator).

FSEarthTiles Future
-------------------
I (HB-100) self will not continue the development of FS Earth Tiles.
I welcome if anyone want to pick it up and continue the development of FSET.
For this purpose I made the sources of v1.0 public and give everyone the right to use them for your own projects
with no restrictions. Before you start a good idea is to check what projects already exists.
Projects after Version 1.0 lead by other authors:

FS Earth Tiles Development :
FS Earth Tiles development original started in this thread here (v0.1):
-> http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11206
and continued in a big big thread till pre version v0.99 here where you can also find links to older FS Earth Tiles pre versions:
-> http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11218
Please respect that after 1 year of development in my spare time I have other interests now than FS Earth Tiles.
So keep support questions here on a minimum and better check the internet and the follow up projects for help with the program.
And don't forget to check the documentations (Readme.txt and UserDocu.rtf) that comes with the program.
Final note, be aware that this Forum is FSPassengers forum and not FS Earth Tiles forum!
We and I am only a guest here!!
