HI Dan .... just want to know in the latest version of Fspassenger did u put the Refuel Option as in long haul flight

No, it's simply impossible because how should be the flight report... ?
2 landing speed, 2 pitch, 2 cruise data from/to, 2, flight time, 2 time fuel comsuption, 2 two time pax opinion, financial report ?
And what about failure ? 1 incident report "but the second leg whent fine?" how to judge that ?

Not only I should double or triple flight data (and it will become a nightmare to code) but the report would look uggly...
land, stop flight, restart flight, you'll have two leg clear report. KSFO->KSNS KSNS->KLSE, simple, clear, cool !

FsP will *never* include such feature... Wink

I don't Think you will be able to see my work. The type of payloadmodels i made was not what Dan was looking for Smile. When The FSPX
comes out, I'm goeing to make some new models for my selves.

If you give me a E-mail, you can get my models, then you can see my style Smile. It's realy easy to make my models, and you can do it you're
selves in a hurry.

Thank you for your kind offer.
As I am not using FS "Previous" anymore I will have to wait until FS Passenger X is released.
Than I will get back to your kind offer...maybe even give some requests??? Gift
All the best and God bless
Alfred

Don't forget anyway that old payload model *will* work with FsPX, there is some good one in download library...

NEWS:

A new fun failure: short circuit in electrical system... when it occure you have a complete electrical failure but with intermitent power on that
last only a few millisecond and a "scrshhh" sound of short circuit. Christmas time for panel. Big Grin

It's work in progress but I'll try to do some variation:

1-as there is fire risk (remember swissair 111) pilot will get bonus if it shut down the main circuit.
2-Another failure but with same effect, the fault is in nav light circuit, if you shut them down you recover your panel and get also a bonus for
detecting the failure.

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and Blog ! - Jason - 07-11-2008

How would one go about opening those circut breakers in FS? (i haven't messed with FSX much)... but I wouldn't think at least the default
A/C would include breaker panels.

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and Blog ! - Valoran - 07-11-2008

Actually, they do. You just hit the avionics on/off switch. That serves as the main circuit switch in the default aircraft. High quality add-ons
have more intricate modeling of electrical systems. It would be interesting to try and figure it (the electrical failure Dan created) out on the
free-ware HS 748 that came out for FS9. Can't think of the author's name but it is a great plane.

This sounds very interesting and a promising new feature.

I would remark that on larger airplane with multiple independent electrical system the ability exists to isolate the source of a problem
without going to the master switch. I have attached an electrical schematic of a light twin.

[Image: y1p6oe9xvMwh417531kPOgjY5vm2vH-4ymV2eIGA...adtqp20x0r]

As you can see multiple paths exist for isolating an electrical fault in the system. Thus I would recommend that isolating a electrical
system i.e. the number 1 electrical system or the number 2 electrical system, maybe by using the associated generator switch, may add
some realism for larger aircraft.

As I read the part on the Swissair flight one opinions was that removing the power from the recirculating fans may have caused the fire to
have been pulled forward into the flightdeck. However the fact that the system failed without tripping the circuit breaker was interesting.

Again I don't code, just fly em, so you will have to remark on the ability to simulate multiple pathways via the MSFS system into your
excellent add-on.

I'll have to look into getting you a "will fly for food" T-Shirt Smile

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and Blog ! - DanSteph - 07-11-2008

he he Smile

About electrical failure I would love to have peoples that should trying to isolate the problem with breaker but the big limiting factor is that
FsPX must remain versatile, it should work with many aircraft. To give a chance to anyone I must be tied to button available on the majority
of aircraft.

That would mean avionic switch, nav light switch... other ? why not generator ? if you shut both or if you have only one engine the battery
may exhaust after a while ?

(this lead me to another new failure, generator, could be intteresting also, use remaining battery only for crucial moment of flight?)

In anyway this one is fun already.... grzzz grzzz with instrument blinking during milliseconds...Wink

Anxious for release! - Hurricane - 07-11-2008

The more I read about the cool new features Applause the more anxious I become to get my hands on it!. Lst news about release date
was from 14
September ("before X-mas" ). Anything more specific yet? I am without FSP for over a year now (since FSX) and suffering from serious
withdrawal symptoms Sick

Not wanting to hurry Dan into delivering anything substandard of course! This is and should stay the best FS addon around Worship

Re: Anxious for release! - DanSteph - 07-11-2008

Still planned for christmas last date, maybe some days before I cannot say yet. I'm still searching a graphist
(doing payload model take all my time I can do only three per day) I'll have to find peoples for voicepack
there is the doc to do translate, all this take my coding time.

Cheers

Dan

Good to hear you're still on track! Top Doesn't make the waiting easier, but hey, that's life.

Re: Anxious for release! - Stansy - 07-11-2008

Hey Dan!

It's exciting to hear about all of the new features. When do you expect to be code complete (stop adding features)?
Like most people here I am sure, I've been hitting the site every week since you announced FSPx to get news of the release. Flight
Simulator just isn't the same without it. It's the only thing I have ever found that gives FS a compelling point for using it. I've tried nearly
every add-on out there, flown on IVAO, VATSIM, various Virtual Airlines and player communities, etc. All I can say is congratulations to you
for providing a truly amazing product. It brings countless hours of fun and excitement to tens of thousands worldlwide!! My prediction is
FSPx will become the #1 selling product for FS within 6 months.

Now, on to my question. You said payload models from FS2004 will work with FSPx. What kind of tweaks can/should we do to those to
bring them up to FSPx standards? I can get to work on mine now as a way to scratch my FSP itch while I wait for Christmas to come!

Re: Anxious for release! - DanSteph - 07-11-2008

The only change is a new sticker "display pressurization availabilities" that display a sticker "pressurized" yes/no.
I'm brainstrorming to add maybe the VLE VFE* speed so they can be completely accurate but given the short
time I may do this later or not.

As you see nothing mandatory, your payload model will work right out of the box without any changes.

*VLE VFE speed are taken from aircraft.cfg, contact point and flaps setting, but to much addon simply ignore
this or put a generic value wich is not accurate. On other side appart if I do it myself I don't think
creator of payload model would bother to enter the correct value and there are still 600 payload model here
that don't have them... in brief I don't think it would be a solution anyway.

One cool new think maybe is that now you can define a station as being "pilot" and give the number of pilot, this is very usefull
for small aircraft, FsP04 didn't took in account pilot's weight... if you define one you have this in payload:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/screenshot/dansteph/fsxdefautpayloadmodel2.jpg

But it's still not mandatory.

Dan

Re: Anxious for release! - Valoran - 07-11-2008

Great Idea! Lots of us manipulated the payload models to simulate a pilot but we got paid for 150 to 250 lbs. of cargo which wasn't quite
realistic. It will be nice to not have to "cheat" like that.

Hi Ken,
From what I've read\heard the Swissairs' entertainment system was latter added to the aircraft and was hard wired directly to one of the
planes electrical buses. A cheaper, but incredibly stupid route to go !
