Incidents
Mayday Transmitted:yes
Crash:yes
Incident Report:
  • For some reason a cabin door was opened during flight and experts agree this is one of the dumbest things one can do. Nav light electric system had short circuited and caused a problem with the entire avionics system. Shutting down the Nav light would have solved the problem.
Casualties:
  • 56 passengers aboard
  • 39 killed
  • 17 injured
  • Pilot and flight crew killed
Pilot Assessment
Bonus:0
Positive Assessment:
  • There was a problem aboard and you declared an emergency. (+50 only you caused the problem)
Penality:1900
Negative Assessment:
  • The aircraft crashed into water at 138 kt with a vertical speed of -943 ft/m. There was a serious failure aboard before the crash, but you are trained to deal with these situations. You did not perform very well here. (-500)
  • You made a serious pilot error that resulted in a critical problem. (-800)
  • Opening doors while in flight is a VERY bad idea. (-600)
