Here is a new feature: flight log Maps. FsP not only records each flight in detail but you will be able to see your flights on a maps. Useful to see what flight your company is making. The background image is in jpg, FsP will be bundled with the most used maps (USA and USA coast, Europe, England, Germany, France, etc., etc.) but you will be able to add up to 255 maps while providing a jpg map of any kind (even your town) and giving only four parameters in a cfg file. (pixel lon/lat ratio, center position) (the poor quality red lines are due to jpg compression of screenshot)

Here's the USA:

Here's the new payload dialog with two more buttons: "Get Zero Fuel Weight" usefull in somes cases (PMDG etc.) and "Set your flight ID" usefull also for those that fly for a VA and like to have custom flight numbers.

FsP will give you far more realism because it has a lot of unique failures that will enhance your experience. For example in multi-engine aircraft the pilot prior to take off must set the engine to 50% N1 and check that all engines deliver the same power to detect if one engine has a problem, if one engine does the pilot must abort the take-off and you will gain pilot points for this in FsP even if the passengers are not happy. Here below the pilot didn't checked and finally one engine failed shortly after take-off resulting in a crash. (but the engine can fail at other times also) Notice that even if you land safely you will lose points, you are NOT supposed to take-off with one engine giving less power in real life.

But the engines are not the only things that can fail, here we have a gear problem just before landing, they don't move anymore. After hearing the copilot stating the problem, you call a mayday and prepare for a belly landing. You will than hear the hostess announcing the emergency to passengers and...

...Here we go for the belly landing, unlike Fs2004 where you crash if you don't have your gear down and locked, with FsP your aircraft slides on the ground and you hear a "rasp" sound effect and the engine shutdown. You will than hear fire truck sirens, if you called a mayday before the landing the hostess will announce that passengers must evacuate the plane by the emergency exit. (notice all the failures work on ANY aircraft)

Of course the end-flight reports the problem and you will gain a lot of points for your successful belly-landing.

you can download the complete end-flight report in rich text format as showed in FsP,
click here: gearfailureReport.rtf ( notice in the financial stuff that it was only a short demo flight )

In FsPassengers any piloting error will be detected and accounted - even forgeting the beacon with engines on. Here I have made an horrible flight just for demo... -6000 points for the pilot. Notice the "in flight emergency" was that your gear and flaps failed due to excess speed. Download the complete end-flight report here: ugllyflightReport.rtf
