Payload Model  Payload Model  |  1969 - PMDG Jetstream 41Hits: 4109

1. This payload model will *correctly* load cargo and fill out the in-cockpit interactive load sheet so that Aft Cargo and Low Cargo (Baggage Pod) can be loaded and set to the max capacities as stated in the AOM i.e. 1137 Lbs and 350 Lbs respectively. This was done by using the Front cargo slot for the Aft Cargo and using the Rear cargo slot for the Baggage Pod.

2. The payload model cannot fill out the passenger weights on the interactive load sheet - this must still be done directly. After initiating the fspassengers boarding process, manually adjust the interactive load sheet (using the usual mouse clicks) to reflect the number of passengers and seating arrangement given in fspassengers boarding dialog.

3. While cargo weights match perfectly, other weights shown in the fspassengers manifest (Passengers/ZFW/TOW) will not match the weights shown on the load sheet. This is not a problem for two reasons:
a) fspassengers appears to use actual individual passenger weights (including carry-on?). In the simulation (and in the real world) weight and balance is calculated using a fixed average estimated (instead of actual) weight for individual passengers (including carry-on). So this weight difference is an issue also faced in the real world.
b) the payload model does not include weights for the crew in the calculation. In the simulation, crew weights are fixed at 353lbs for pilot plus first officer, and 150lbs for the flight attendant and are included in the (fixed) BOW figure on the interactive load sheet. However the distance of the forward cabin from CG position (Pos Z) in the payload model was adjusted in an attempt to compensate for this.
